Two ideas for new creative plugins: Doppler and Combfilter effect

If asked about plugin wishes, I would vote for a simple and cheap pitch shifter (1-band and 1-voice stripped down version of MultiBandHarmonizer so to say), and a noisereduction plug (the real stuff, not just a noise gate).

Thanks for the suggestion - I will give it a go....V-GER wrote:Upload it to something like Mediafire and then paste & post the link to the uploaded file, should be easy enough. Remember to use url tags in your post or strange spaces may pop up randomly in the adress, KVR forum can misbehave sometimes concerning such things... You may need to register, but that should only take a minute or two. I only mention Mediafire cause I've got good experience with them, the most reliable service I've tried. Plenty of other options though.mljung wrote:Hi Vojtech
I have a file ready for you to show the comb-filter-fx I was talking about, but I simply don't know how to upload it here on the forum.![]()
Can someone help?

Hi Vojtech, and others interested in the Comb-filter-effect suggestion for Melda plugs, here's the link for the file. First made without processing followed by several different settings:
http://we.tl/GKGY6J7HVR
I found this description on the plugin from an old sound on sound review:
"...features five filters in parallel, each with faders for frequency, resonance, and low-pass filter (placed in the feedback loop to control the amount of ringing). There is a further set of three Master controls, which act as multipliers for the values set beneath — in the case of the Master Frequency fader, this can be varied between 2.00 (an octave above) and zero (minimum frequency in all five cases). Due to the wide range of available resonance settings you can create ringing harmonic clusters or chords, and turn drum loops into triggered drones".
Hope this can inspire some interesting new creative Melda tool...

Just a remark apart of the comb filter discussion. I am right now working my way through the MAnalyzer. Man, this plug beats all other analyzers on the market.

Comb: Ok, so I checked and indeed it sounds interesting enough. It also seems pretty easy to implement using the stuff we already have, so I'll add it to to-do list
Doppler: Well, sorry, there are way more interesting things that would need to be postponed.

What about a simple pitch shift (see my post above)?

Sorry, but MMultiBandHarmonizer already does that and costs almost nothing.User123 123123 wrote:What about a simple pitch shift (see my post above)?
With noise reduction, yeah, that one is planned.

Well, the principle is similar, but I'm afraid rotary is more "useful". We can think about Dopple, but only when other more interesting projects are done, which I'm not really sure will ever happen
. You know, the resources are limited...

I know you don't see much potential in making an "MDoppler"
What I meant was that MRotary could be made to do the doppler effect as well, besides all the rotary options... because, as you write, the principle is similar...

Yes, the principle is the same, but all the GUI and actually the interior would be different! Well, I'm afraid it's really low priority.
