My defaultsetting with this Plugin is that no gain reduction happens, when the input gain is 0 db or below. When I insert the plugin in Nuendo and feed it with a normalized audiofile no gain reduction happens as expected.
But when I insert the plugin in Wavaelab 7 or 8 and play the same audio file a gain reduction up to 5 db happens. I tried it with the vst2 and vst3 version.
With Steinbergs own limiter and the bx_limiter everything is correct in Wavelab.
What could it be ?
Problem with MMultibandLimiter in Wavelab

I believe there must be something wrong in your gain staging in Nuendo. Unless you have a very specific audio, a gain reduction will occur. Note that this is NOT a single-band limiter like bx_limiter, it is a true 6-band brickwall limiter with saturated end, which means, it may perform limiting even if the input is not clipping in order to flatten the frequency response.

I have set all parameters in my default preset so that gain reduction starts only if the level os above 0 db...

Well, that is possible, but only with single-band setting imho.rasmusklump wrote:I have set all parameters in my default preset so that gain reduction starts only if the level os above 0 db...
