Seems to be only for US customers, I get this message when I put it in my basket:

I also think I read something that the Steinberg US products are no longer supported or upgraded when they are bought by Europeans. The serials are differentiated or something, like DVD regions. (These are the things Soviet Steinberg does nowadays instead of fixing their products.)

Perhaps someone could confirm this.

(I believe this is no gossip / chat because it clarifies the eligibility of the offer)

This company never ceases to amaze me (of course in a very negative way). A big middle finger to free trade courtesy of Steinberg GmbH.

No, you were correct the first time, this should not be purchased by anyone outside of the US. The Cubase 6 or Cubase 6.5 themselves will work but you will not receive free upgrades to Cubase 7 if you are outside the US. We sell download versions of Cubase 6 for cheap and always recommend that International customers *not* buy it.

btw, Cubase 7 *does* work outside of the US, the geo tagging warning is merely there to inform customers they have purchased a US product and not a product from their own country, in case their local dealer is purchasing grey market from the US and not from their own country's distributor. This is a Yamaha policy, not a Steinberg one.
