Wow, I almost just bought this since there is such a good deal going on, but yep same issue as the others, using Studio One 2.07 x64. :(

Thanks for the reply at least kv331.

What's your audio interface?

I'm also using the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.

ah...just found this thread - thank god I am not the only one

as others mentioned, my audio card doesn't have any option except microseconds and 48k is not an option for me

as I have never seen this issue with any other soft synth before, surely it is a bug?

meantime, you need to post a warning on the 'purchase' page about incompatible soundcards and the 48k requirement.

Still no news about the possible fix for the multiple of 16 and the 48k sampling rate workaround?

I do not think that I have a unique setup - I am even using the generic low latency ASIO driver under Cubase 6.5

So it must be a quite common problem...

Since no sound is generated under those conditions, this is really a major show stopper.

Do you have an expected completion date for this snag?

Please note that I am not that much under shock because of it - hey, after all, I got it from the Computer Music magazine... Based on the comments coming from the lucky ones for who SM works, the synth looks promising. Puting it on CM is a smart way to promote the full version. But for now, what I get out of it is a big DON'T BUY sign - until it is fixed. And I am affraid that the deal will be over at that time.

Guys, we have a DEMO version that people can try before they buy the full version.

and despite this unique problem we've had great sales, and it's the first thing in my TO-DO list. I'll reduce it down to multiples of 4, not 16. Yes that's a requirement for my engine because I process buffers using SIMD algorithms.

Hi guys, I may have found a solution...it has worked for me anyhow.

Equipment:
Focusrite 2i4 -
Windows 7 -
FL Studio - (process may very depending on DAW)

I too had the same issue as everyone else. To fix this I loaded the vst, went to the "wrapping settings"(top left of vst window, looks like a tiny gear) then went to the "Processing" tab, the clicked on "Use fixed size buffers" ..that's it. I tested it for hours to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Hasn't messed up for me at all.

*** Wrapping Settings > Processing > Used Fixed Size Buffers

As I said this was done in FL studio so I'm unsure it will work for any DAW.

Cheers.

We've fixed the buffer sizes issues back in February.

Do you guys have the latest version installed? (2.6.2)

**Flash**

Synthmaster CM WILL work on Reaper and a Focusrite interface, IF you change the prefs in Reaper from ASIO to Waveout.

It's not the best situation, but you can hear the sounds and presumably run automation, midi info, etc. havent' tried that yet. I"m pleased that SM works in Reaper!

Synthmaster is the only VST Synth of which I'm aware that allows one to adjust the buffer settings. All others seem to handle it behind the scenes.. is there an advantage to having these settings on the synth itself?

YES! If you increase the internal buffer size (of SynthMaster), that'll decrease the CPU usage, which is good for tracking. BUT during rendering I'd recommend to set it to "Small", so that the internal processing happens at a higher frequency (since the buffer size decreases)
