Will a future update respond to CC 64 (Sustain)..?

Based on my quick diagnosis of the problem, I suspect it's more likely a real technical issue, as their authoritative DNS servers are not returning the site's IP address.fisherKing wrote:site IS down...update coming?... (hope so...)
The site is likely still up, but the URL is not resolving the IP correctly.
But that's not to say I would love to be wrong and see a new update with an 80% CPU reduction or something!!

a rob lee soundset would make this perfect (well, that, and the cpu use reduced...). am getting this (once the site is back up)...

Sorry mate i have too much on. Gonna be busy till christmas with something hardware NDA means i can't say what. I want SPIRE though for my own productions besides i'm sure there'll be tons flooding KVR with banks within no time.. It just ain't fun no more like the old days mate. Anyways the factory sounds are good enough to get people up and running IMO. No need for more just save your money and make your own mate it's a doddlefisherKing wrote:a rob lee soundset would make this perfect (well, that, and the cpu use reduced...). am getting this (once the site is back up)...

Hi bManicbmanic wrote:Well damn.. this all motivated me enough to get a quick and dirty custom FTP thingy running so that you can download the ridiculous examples here.
Here are 5 file. 4 renders and the actual reaper project.
I simply rendered the thing 4 times.. the 3 first are completely out of sync while the 4th is somewhat in sync (some weird phasing that shouldn't happen when it's dead on.. and there are some unknown glitches too).
Render 1
Render 2
Render 3
Render 4 (this one is almost in sync)
And you can get the Reaper project file HERE.
Yeah, it's safe to say that "host synced" LFO's are a joke in Reaper at the moment.![]()
NOTE: You'll need a copy of Spire and FF Twin to open the project. I'll continue experimenting with other synths and other hosts to see what's really going on. I have FL Studio and ReNoise tracker to test with. Man this is depressing. I always thought plugins were sample accurate in their entirety.
Cheers!

I don't know if you're still reading this thread, but I've tried this (your experiment) in three different hosts now and my conclusion is that the LFO sync in Spire is the problem - not the hosts.
I used exactly the same conditions as you:
FF Twin 2
Spire
Metronome track - 128 BPM
8 bars MIDI notes C3 & C4
Your presets
Hosts used:
Reaper
Studio One
Cubase
Initial results showed that Reaper & Cubase couldn't provide accurate sync, but Studio One did 75% of the time.
HOWEVER... After checking the synths individually, I found that FF Twin 2 syncs perfectly every time in every host, but Spire only gets it right maybe 10% of the time.
It sounds like Spire's LFO is starting at a different point in the cycle each time.
I encourage others to repeat this experiment for further confirmation so the Spire devs can fix it.

This is not a bug. Just set the LFO Phase to 744 (starting point).Andywanders wrote:Hi bManicbmanic wrote:Well damn.. this all motivated me enough to get a quick and dirty custom FTP thingy running so that you can download the ridiculous examples here.

Thanks Vullcan. That works.

Now if Spire gets CC64 and I get some spare cash, I'm gonna buy this.
Cheers
