No, same as all their other software sales, boxed product with serial inside. So downloadable in the sense that you register and download, not downloadable in the sense that you buy it online and download it right away

Yea you can go to a store and grab em. Thats usually what Ive done for these deals in the past since they charge you tax anyway online. Id first check to see if your store has them, you can choose store pick up and and pick your store, should say if they have any available

Just an fyi... I didn't want to make the drive (about 20 -25 mins away) so I called MusiciansFriend and they price matched no problem with free shipping. Called last night and it's already shipped. Actually after I did it I saw thay have some -10% deal on price matches... they guy didn't mention it to me and only a couple of $$ anyway (and maybe it doesn't apply for some reason). Guess it depends on how bad you want to avoid traffic but worth it for me....

Nah you can use it fine. I didn't have a Lumia phone when I used the previous promo.

The irony is that I now own a Lumia but can't download the Zinio app because it requires 1GB of RAM and my phone only has 512MB

No problem, and thanks for the tip! I actually ran down to GC a few evenings ago to pick up Drumazon and Thesys, so I'm set, but others may find that tip useful. I mentioned this somewhere earlier, but I also received a flyer from MusiciansFriend and they are supposedly having the same sale as GC (sans Drumazon), but they aren't showing the sale prices on their website for some reason.

Now I'm trying to resist the urge to buy Unique.

Yeah, I actually asked the guy if they weren't having the same sale and referenced your post but he said he hadn't heard anything about it. Seemed kind of weird but all these places have so many endless "sales" I would imagine it's a total moving target for their employees.

After typing the above I went and had a look and they are now at $29 as well. With free shipping so a little better deal than GC if you don't have one nearby or don't want to drive. Guess that's only for lower 48 states though....

Yeah, I've been waiting for this one too, but I don't think it will happen this year.

Its probably because of the komplete 9 release. That was off of their usual time table. Usually they released a new komplete in september, at least the previous few versions. 9 however was done in march. So while previously they could have summer upgrade specials up to september when they released a new one that all got moved to march

So I dont know if Id expect anything until thanksgiving, maybe a labor day or halloween thing though, who knows

I've got my Kindle filled up with free Zinio magazines. The problem with this promo (yes, I know it's free, but still...) is that the eligible magazine selection is very limited.

It wouldn't surprise me if they went from an annual release model to an 18 month or longer cycle. Their flagship product is no longer Kontakt or Maschine, it's KOMPLETE and it has been for awhile. But for Komplete to be of value, there must be other new products on the roster that generate value. For the past few years, NI has released some very big ticket products ($200 - $350) which are heavily discounted in the Komplete package. But for those products to sell on their own, there needs to be a release cycle that allows those products to breathe on the market for some time before being included in Komplete. A year is just too short. NI has just released a couple of significant new products. It would be folly to offer them in the Komplete package just a month or two later.
