KVR - 50 Shades of Blue

One thing I don't like about the new layout is how the thread title button and page links are separated from the quick links back to KVR and the corresponding subforum........blah, blah, blah. edit: never mind, I guess that it only appears that way on this thread.

I also had some problems with My KVR. I had some products in my favorites that I haven't even tried yet.

The old My KVR had some issues where it was not possible to delete old versions. The new My KVR would have imported these anomalies, which can now be deleted.

Could that be it?

Not yet, a forum upgrade is required for that. Hopefully fairly soon.

Feels more cluttered. Im on a pretty high resolution (1920x1080) screen and there's so much stuff in headers now that the contents of threads start about half way down the screen...

The distance between the top of the screen and the bottom of the blue content header / breadcrumb line is just 7px more than before!

Sorry, I had inadvertently uploaded the wrong one (I have a half dozen versions of the same avatar!). Fixed.

I'm sure I'll tweak the colors and stuff over the next week or two.

Please try the site on a tablet (Windows 8 or iPad). The loss of forum screen real estate and color scheme issues are especially noticeable on the small screens of these devices.

Why not allow JPEG's (which can't be animated) only for avatars? Animated GIFs are another headache we don't need.

Perhaps. I'm sure I could detect animated GIF server side. We'll see if it's abused or not.

It looks nice to you! I am literally nauseous looking at the new color scheme on my Windows tablet. And I am not the only one complaining.

Please consider either making the colors editable or have a poll if they must be fixed.

In addition to the 7 pixels, there is significant loss of horizontal width when browsing the forum index. I know this because I have thumbnails of the old and new designs.

Mobile devices are the future. I think you should be trying to fit maximum content on their small screens. On your site, the content is the users posts. I am sure the right sidebar is not very interesting for most people.

Okay... that's it... too many colors, too much funked design, and now also AVATARS that I CAN NOT turn off unless I maybe lock into the "beta" MyKVR.


Seriously... give us the options back to have control over our private board settings.

Animations, image footers, cramped layout and now also Avatars. I really want to stab out my eyes right now... with a SPOON!

I think Avatars are useful for identifying people, as long as they don't take over the display.
