Hmmm that's why I thought it best to ask if this is the Plus version. If not this freeware version may not load banks created in their Plus version. I haven't installed it yet and won't until I know if this is indeed the full Plus version. No sense installing this version over my paid version if they are not the same......yessongs wrote:loading banks I find available here does nothing other bank does in fxb format.

The freeware should be the Plus version. There are 38 filters while the manual (related to the "original" version) only mentions 20.Teksonik wrote:Hmmm that's why I thought it best to ask if this is the Plus version. 58 waveforms mentioned in the manual while in the latest version there are around 84.
THe current version also includes 4 factory banks plus a "empty" one (first entry) with init patches, selectable from the "setup" menu.
I received a free "Thank You!" Firebird bank (which loads nicely in Ableton Live 9). Not sure if this is only for Firebird customers or all Tone2 customers.

Ok thanks then yes it's the Plus version so it's ok to use all filters and waveforms available in the commercial version with this free version. I want to release some free patches so I needed to know if everybody would be able to load them in the free version.

Good! I look forward to hearing what you release and hope that other sound designers follow your charitable example. Thanks in advance.

The other bank (128 patches) seems to be free with any purchase.

The plugin GUI does not include a patch browser so you have to use the patch manager of you DAW. For example Ableton Live offers two buttons to load or save banks (fxb format) or patches (fxp format). Browsing patches is done from the patch browser of you DAW too.mfbradt wrote:How do you load the free thank you bank?
Thanks
Anyway the different factory banks are available from a drop-down menu at "load factory bank in the "setup" menu (a button at the lower right of the GUI).
There you could also do other setting including a different skin.

Thanks for the heads up on the free bank and the free with purchase bank. I'm now even more tempted to buy a bank for Z3ta+.Ingonator wrote:

I found a video tutorial for Firebird, I bet there's more though. It's really weird to program, since its almost like a slimmed down Gladiator, it does all the weird HCM wavetable stuff, but doesn't have Gladiator's displays so its more challenging to figure out whats going on. But, outside of the HCM its pretty simple and super powerful for a little synth, the UI is straight forward, there's just so many options under the hood.

Also, all the stuff about Gladiator's HCM also applies to Firebird even though they will sound different. So here's a video about Gladiator:
