FireBird features what Tone2 claims is a "new, unique sounding synthesis" - Harmonic Content Morphing (HCM) - see below.
Harmonic Content Morphing (HCM) Synthesis is based on a large and expandable repertoire of standard waves like saw or pulse as well as complex waves like multi waves, trumpets, organs, pads, pianos, and voice samples. These waves can be modified in real-time by, for example, transposing the wave by one or two octaves and adding it to the original wave, altering its harmonic structure, syncing, compressing or expanding the frequency domain of the spectrum, making the wave fat using only one oscillator by transforming each wave into a hyper-wave, selecting some cycles of a sample and moving through them over time (comparable to wave-table synthesis). Any modification of a wave can be modulated producing lively shimmery sounds. In total there are more than 14,000 different spectra available for combination and modulation.
I like all the synth, it's free and really good quality.
It have some nice presets, nice interface and the sound is very good.
I used it in a few tracks.
My versin is a 32-bits, maybe it have now a 64-bits version ?Read Review
This plugin is phenomenal! The sounds are clear, and I recommend using it for arpeggios. There are also some really good retro presets to get your songs moving.Read Review
AN ABSOLUTE ESSENTIAL
Put aside omnisphere and all those over priced programs because this is the all in one for free synths. I don't really ever write reviews for VST plugins but this is absolutely nuts. The sound manipulation is super crazy if you know what you're doing and all the presets are top notch. From trance to trap styles to 80's synthwave you name it, If only I could give this 6 stars.Read Review
Firebird is my biggest love among free synths - multi usable, it's unbelievable even to me that i made over 4000 presets for it with no intention of chasing numbers. That's how love works :).Read Review
