Great to see the latest re-changes.
Its rather rare that the service provider really listens to
the user feedback, as in this case. Good KVR! H.

What changes?
Pigments Presets, Omnisphere Expansions, Dune, Serum, and Thorn Sound Packs. Diva, Zebra, TAL, and Repro Sound Banks. Massive discounts - https://NewLoops.com

Beware of the placebo effect. It's the same old eyesore. The only changes I see are:

1) The user bar switched from turquoise to grey.
2) The latest posts icon now has the text "Latest" next to it. (Do we need the icon which seems inappropriate? It is basically the Facebook messaging icon. I think the text "Latest" suffices.)
3) The word "All" under "Forum" was replaced by arrows.

Why can't we rollback to the old color scheme which everyone seems to like?

I'm not particularly picky about a lot of design stuff, especially since I know that I don't have the talent to do better than the pros that DO devote themselves to it.

That said, I was disappointed to see my name in GRAY this morning when I logged in. Gotta give me something--gray is nothing. Perhaps we can get an option to pick our own color? Personally, I was fine with blue.

Please get rid of this blue/greenish background
That's against any web design rule :P
Other than that the site is cool

I think it's nice :)

I feel the same. It kind of gets you to that KVR vibe when you see the forum. Oh, and I also like the new surrounding colors. Yay.

Yes, but you have a lot of green in your avatar :hihi:

Anyways, I appreciate all the work the admins and mods put in :)
Mods have nothing to do with it, it's all Ben. I'm hopeful he'll apply some tweaks as things go along.
And Ben does this for a living ? The new KVR looks amateurish......like something created as a school kid's first website......

Now I'm going back to try and access the company forums..again....... :?

EDIT: Oh I see now.the company forums are "hidden"......good job..... :tu:

EDIT: 2 Here's another one. Go to a company forum, check out the new posts then use the "back" mouse gesture in Firefox and not only does it kick you all the way out of the Company Forums list it returns you to the bottom of the page so you have to scroll back up and then un-hide the company forums again........every time.......

The forums are hidden based on your preferences @ http://www.kvraudio.com/mykvr.php?m=prefs#myforums - which now also affects the forum index. You only have three forums selected there - deselect them to show all, or choose the ones you are interested in.

Well, using AdBlock and the built in "Block Content" in Opera 12.x it's possible to get rid of most of the worst eyesores.
Scrolling down immediately to hide the header helps too ;-)

Some food for thought though:
If you look at GUI design today, with the sheer amount of information we get bombarded with, most user interfaces go towards "reduction". Flat icons, reduced colour palettes, limited contrast, clear layouts. Even the "Blink" tag in HTML is finally getting discontinued ;-)

I'm not against change, far from it, but in case of the new KVR look I don't understand the motivation.
Before it looked okay, halfways decent for a forum and relatively "professional". Not top of the line visually but okay.
Now it looks confusing, unprofessional and inconsistent across the board, surely not like one of the most important Forums for everything DAW/Plugins/Music.

Many companies use KVR for their support and where this was okay and relatively neutral looking before, now I personally would be reluctant to send my customers here.

I'm sure I miss the bigger picture, but I think it would be worth it to rethink some of the changes.

Cheers,

Tom
