Finally we can hide forums from displaying in forum index?! THANKS, BEN!

Hm that should make the forum index browsable with Android browsers now. I guess they maxed out on RAM or so, making them crash, when displaying that ultra long list.
Btw, i know you're bored of the questions, but any plans on switching to a newer phpbb version supporting Tapatalk?

The ugly lime green buttons just turned blue. I think he also darkened that obnoxious turquoise blue. My eyeballs are bleeding less!
It's still worse than the original design but at least it's a step in the right direction.
Tom's post above is right on the money.

I think that move is a winner for sure, well doneFrantz wrote:The ugly lime green buttons just turned blue.
If you could just change the green text for something.
Maybe a darker orange/yellow ?
Or keep it real simple and go white text.

I found it unbearably awful before, now it's merely dark, murky, and depressing. This is a big improvement.
The colors seem to still be in flux. The user bar is blue or grey depending on the page. I think the font color just changed while I am typing.
Tom is making a lot of sense. Look at Google, Apple.com. Amazon, BBC, CNN, New York Times, or any huge site. They all have white or very light grey backgrounds. They have reduced clutter, simplified navigation, and added lots of white space.
KVR is bucking the trends with these dark, murky backgrounds.

The amount of colours seem to be reduced each time I come here - Great
Keep at it! It's worth the time investment!
A lot of people look at it multiple times a day for extended periods.
It REALLY makes a difference how they feel
Cheers,
Tom

Oh please, now the "avatars" also to the right in "what's new on KVR"?
Are you serious, Ben? This whole design is crowded as is (though tweaked for the better), but give us users finally the option to turn off avatars where we don't need it.
Also, where is the "Plugin of the Hour"? It's now "featured". Don't we have enough advertisements?
And finally, some good news:
The page works on mobile phones (Opera 9) again.

Yes it looks better already. But its still a load of staggered lines and boxes. The stuff on the left doesn't line up with the forum part and it looks a mess.

Gotta say, overall, I think the new forum looks great, much better than the old design and I like having avatars. But, I agree with Compyfox here - I don't like the avatars displaying in the "Latest Posts" box at all.Compyfox wrote:Oh please, now the "avatars" also to the right in "what's new on KVR"?

Yeah, pretty pointless to have the user pics there. Maby a pic related to the forum would do? Like an instrument for the instrument forum, company logos for the company forums and stuff like that.
Don't know if that's possible of course.
