I'm a relative noob but learn pretty fast.

I want to run some chords from MicroTrance www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?plugin=Microtrance&id=424 through a step sequencer. I just found T-Force Trance Gate http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?pl ... te&id=1284 and like it.

But I can't seem to limit the number of steps to make it loop properly while playing my tune. There's always a blank space or two at the end that throws it off.

Anyone know a good, free and adjustable step sequencer that can handle chords and pads? I have a song in mind and how it should go. I could just play the chords rhythmically myself but thought it would be fun (and different) to record it this way.

Hope I'm making myself clear!

Thanks for the suggestion. Just tried it out quickly. Interesting but not quite what I had in mind! :hihi:

Thanks for the suggestion. I just did a preliminary check and it looks like it has a lot of potential. Demo times out after 2 to 3 minutes but maybe I could get some good loops out of it! :?

Little update... I think posting here got me thinking better. I changed the bpm on my DAW and managed to get my chord progression looping properly with T-Force. So unless anyone can think of any super duper free steps, I guess this thread is solved. :P

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

If anyone's interested... I just tried the rest of the T-Force freeware and it just gets better and better!

Maybe Kirnu Cream but it's not free but very cheap. It's an Arp and seq in one.

Try Cthulhu.

I use it a lot, without problem.

Arpeggiator and chords. He now a lot of chords and chords progressions and you can record your own.
