I'm a relative noob but learn pretty fast.

I want to run some chords from MicroTrance www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?plugin=Microtrance&id=424 through a step sequencer. I just found T-Force Trance Gate http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?pl ... te&id=1284 and like it.

But I can't seem to limit the number of steps to make it loop properly while playing my tune. There's always a blank space or two at the end that throws it off.

Anyone know a good, free and adjustable step sequencer that can handle chords and pads? I have a song in mind and how it should go. I could just play the chords rhythmically myself but thought it would be fun (and different) to record it this way.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just did a preliminary check and it looks like it has a lot of potential. Demo times out after 2 to 3 minutes but maybe I could get some good loops out of it!

Little update... I think posting here got me thinking better. I changed the bpm on my DAW and managed to get my chord progression looping properly with T-Force. So unless anyone can think of any super duper free steps, I guess this thread is solved.

Maybe Kirnu Cream but it's not free but very cheap. It's an Arp and seq in one.

Try Cthulhu.

I use it a lot, without problem.

Arpeggiator and chords. He now a lot of chords and chords progressions and you can record your own.
