Hi All
We have just released V2.0.1 OS system software upgrade for the RECEPTOR 2 family of hardware plugin players.
This paid upgrade delivers huge new functionality to the RECEPTOR 2 product line, including the new RACK MODE interface found on the new VIP, TRIO, and QU4TTRO models. That means you get the SoundFinder function for organizing preset, the LIVE MODE function for performing live, as well as the new drag and drop interface that people are raving about in the new models.
Along with the software upgrade, you get over $900 of plugins to get you going with the new interface, including MusePlayer, based on the UVI engine, Camel Phatt, Camel Space, MasterVerb 4, TrackPlug 4, MuVoice LE, and numerous other plugins as well, along with whatever plugins you have installed on your Receptor already. This upgrade also makes it possible to install Komplete 9 or Komplete 9 Ultimate, which was previously not possible due to system constraints put in place by NI.
Also new is Backup and Restore, which allows you to make a backup system drive, and then incrementally back up as you see fit. You must use a high performance, USB external drive that is at least as large as the drive you are backing up for this purpose, and we recommend you use Seagates since those are what we use inside your Receptor.
The upgrade has a cost of $199, but given that it includes over $900 of software and tech support to help you install it if you need to, its a veritable bargain.
For more information, you can visit the Muse Research website and look at the press release, which will also be posted on KVR, and to get an overview of the features and how they work you can look at the RECEPTOR TRIO introduction video on YouTube and get an idea of the feature set.
IMPORTANT: This upgrade supports your Built in audio I/O, but does not support the Presonus external audio interface. Also, this upgrade is 32-bit only, so you are not able to run 64-bit plugins in the Receptor 2 at this time.
Thanks for everyone's patience, and I hope you like the new interface and features!

One question.
After the upgrade I will find all my virtual instruments as before or I need to reinstall everything?
Thanks.

Are there any release notes anywhere with more detailed info on the upgrade? In particular, bugs fixed from 1.9, and any known issues and gotchas.

The way this works is that you will receive an invoice from the company showing your purchase, along with your unique download links for the software and your license code to authorize it. You should receive that within 24 hours of placing the order, or someone at Muse is asleep at their computer!drbill wrote:Where's the download, once I've bought it. I don't see any way to get it.

Excellent suggestion.drbill wrote:That's fine. It would probably be a good idea to include that info in the acknowledgment email so that folks have the correct expectations.
Thanks
