And since all they are doing is telling us who they are in their attacks on what is now a well known policy by these threads (above and beyond the print in EULA). Why argue with them? Instead we should thank them for identifying themselves as the very people Tone2 wishes to protect themself from. The deception revealed, is only theirs, not Tone2.
 Absolute bullshit. Yeah I really want to use illegal Tone2 software :hyper: and now I am f**king mad :x
Seems more like you don't want to use any of their software, legal or not.

So don't. And get over your mad that others have no problem with their up-front policy.

I beat your edit. No need to withdraw.

I wouldn't have linked my web page to my kvr profile if I wasn't proud to show off saving for my software and now being 100% legit.

I note, you don't have a web page or a location in your profile.
Does that mean you have something to hide?

But again, show where I've fought for the right to use illegal software.
If you can't. you know what to do. ;)

Congratulation, that makes you a half wit. :hihi:

If you haven't written about anything illegal, what is there to worry about really?
At worse, what, Tone2 could be seeing what plugins others use with theirs? The NSA could possibly be tracking any phrase we type in notepad.
People don't seem to get that the copy protection built into the installers does NOT need an internet connection to work. As the "real" copy protection is a key file you also don't need internet for e.g. C/R or other stuff.

I have also have no hint that the Tone2 installers changed any other files inn my VST folder except those related to the corresponding installer.

I simply did not recognize ANY problem that in any way could be directly related to using Tone2 plugins and like already mentioned i use 6 of their synths including a Nemesis Beta version.

FWIW my security software also did never report any suspicious connections related to "spyware" etc.

The only people that have to "fear" the copy protection in the installers are people using illegal licenses and only in that case some files could be deleted but AFAIK only Tone2 products. I never tested this myself and also do not plan to do it.

UPDATE:
Just noticed that Bastiaan posted here now.

To be clear, my point is that we have bigger things to worry about than a synth company's copy protection system.

Whether you fight for your own or anyone elses, you fight for that right.
Congrats on being legit, now wouldn't it be a better use of energy to get others to do the same rather than fight for their right not to?

I understand that you might have traumatic situation with tone2 previously before your 100% legit this last 2 days. Good for you that you're changing for the goods.

Hiding anything? Lol, this is my main ID. Everyone can google to see what i'm doing and who i am. No point for me to hide anything.

To be clear:

you don't have to worry with any of the Tone2 software/installers as long as you do not have illegal copies of their software (or illegal key files that are blacklisted like Bastiaan mentioned) installed.

I don't really care about Tone2's copy protection as i know it never caused problems for me. I have all their synths and love them all.

BTW talking about "copy protection" the real one is a key file which s very simple to use and does not need any internet connection (like the installer does not need one).

As i am repeating myself i think it's best for me to stop now.

No, you explicitly wrote on these pages I fight for the right to use illegal software.
Prove it, of get f**ked, 'cause you're trolling.

You're making definitive statements without fact. That's dodgy ground, almost as dodgy as tone 2 scanning hard drives.

PACE/iLok... now there's an issue I can join with you. And even that has more to do with it running 'services' in the background more than being a copy protection. Companies have a right to protect their software. IMO they do not have the right to put a drain on my system to do it.

And since Tone2 has not shown any such 'service' drain, my concerns with them is nil.

Nevermind.

I doubt you understand much, given past experience ;)

If you're not hiding, put up an email address, a web page or even a location in your profile... Unless you're living off the radar for a reason.
See how silly that can get.

The only thing I will keep harping on to Tone2 is to HAVE A SUPERSALE so I can afford them!
