Probably won't be out in 2013.

Nope... next year, hopefully.
Can you confirm if midi out from the arpeggiator will be implemented on the V3 release?
Can't confirm yet, but the internal sequencer will have drag'n'drop support for MIDI files, e.g. you can drag the MIDI onto your DAW (tested in Cubase and Logic so far).

Thanks.

Hoping you guys will be able to implement a midi out feature that would enable the recording/exporting of midi sequences from the arp (when midi is played from a midi keyboard or the DAW)!

Is drag n' drop of other modules still a general goal? Aside from great convenience, there was a short discussion about scripting here a while ago, featuring some language or other and it seemed like drag n' drop might be a pretty intuitive way to bridge the multitudes of interesting language features and environments.

Post

Drag'n'drop of modules in the Grids is still on, of course!

The scripting language has always been difficult to follow through. As with most such things we might want to look into a rewrite, or into using some off-the-shelf scripting environment (Lua, JavaScript, Python). Or maybe indeed a visual approach. Not sure yet, and maybe not an area where we really need to devote much time

Yeah, pretty understandable

I may not have been clear. Drag/drop, copy/paste to, say, an oscillator wavetable or an MSEG seems interesting. If any tool could create the draggable outside of Zebra, might be an easy alternative to intensive scripting inside of Zebra? Just my two cents - could also be the better way, people interested in Zebra voodoo might have pretty different preferences in tools.

(I vaguely remember, or misremember, some ideas posted about copying, dragging modules quite a while ago, also informing my (mis-)reading into drag n' drop for the Arp module :hihi:)

I'm a new Zebra user!

Better sounding distortion (maybe a drawable distortion curve, ala synthmaster?) and chorus (more like Diva's), and I'm happy.

Hi

Excuse me if it was already answered, but is there already more information on the new filters of Zebra3?

I am asking, because I'm not sure, if I should get Diva or Zebra now.
I finally have a PC, which can actually make good use of Diva (just played with the demo .. lovely pads  ), and after what I heard of the upcoming Uhbie Filter, this one might even be my favorite!

So will the new Zebra always get all the Diva filters as well?
Because then I'd rather go for Zebra2-->Zebra3.
If not, I might rather stick to Diva (as I'm really starting to love its polysynth/pad-qualities).

Zebra 3 is at least a year away and will not have Diva filters... and current Zebra does not have Diva filters. The Dark Zebra (Zebra HZ) version does have the Diva filters but that is an additional purchase over the regular Zebra and will be something of a legacy offering.

IMO, if you want Diva, get Diva... I have Zebra HZ and rarely use the Diva filters in it because of CPU use. Zebra does not have the multicore support which Diva does.

Whatever you get, get it soon. If you're waiting for Zebra 3 you'll have to miss out on these fantastic synths for too long :hihi:

Ui!
Ok, thought it would be right around the corner.

Yes, I know about the Dark Zebra. And because of the free upgrade offer, I thought Zebra 3 would have at least very similar filters.
That's also because how Urs wrote "Zebra3 won't have the exact same ones.", which to me sounds like it might just be another kind of implementation of the "same" filters.

Awww ...
Yesterday I thought I had already made my decision (towards Diva), but then I listened (again) to the audio demos of Padsheaven 1 and 2 ... :o

So hard to make a decision!

That's the only way out of this particular dilemma.
