And can we also have a C=64 tape emulation mode in Satin, please?Urs wrote:160 beatstomtoo wrote:Urs wrote:Yeah, that. I think it's rather easy to do in DSP... we don't need to fully emulate a modem. Okay, I was thinking more the Jesus and Satan fighting with light sabres/robots gargling scrap metal type noises.Urs wrote:I think it's rather easy to do in DSP... we don't need to fully emulate a modem. A printer driver will do.
If your printer sounds like that, that's some printer.

No joke, that name was also discussed for the new upcoming Tone2 synth (before the beta started). At the end i was quite happy that "Nemesis" was used instead...Frantz wrote:S&M synth? Since it is super-saw-tooth in nature "Shark" would be most appropriate. But that is taken. No worry. There are still "Crocodile," "Alligator," "Piranha" and other fauna to keep Zebra a company. Pity we're too busy to do that synth. I'd love to do some fun fauna project!aboukirev wrote:Since it is super-saw-tooth in nature "Shark" would be most appropriate. But that is taken. No worry. Those ideas are quite cool for a supersaw synth. Have not thought about those names myself...aboukirev wrote: Since it is super-saw-tooth in nature "Shark" would be most appropriate. Do not forget to add some really "snappy" (or "Schnappi"...) envelopes for it:

PS:
Now that i got a Diva license again i am looking forward to the JP-8000 oscillator in Diva.
Played a bit with the Reaktor Supersaw macro from the free JP-4c ensemble myself recently (including using the Monark filter):

Maybe i could use one of those names for my free Reaktor ensemble. What about calling it "Schnappi 8000".

Well, the name of our supersaw oscillator is "Hive Osc", because it's literally a hive of oscillators that buzz around like eager little bees in their home full of honeycombs. Hence if we ever get to do a supersaw synth, it'll be called "Hive" or "Hive One".
There you have it. Consider "Hive" trademarked by u-he.

"Hive" is cool to and the explanation is even better.Urs wrote:Well, the name of our supersaw oscillator is "Hive Osc", because it's literally a hive of oscillators that buzz around like eager little bees in their home full of honeycombs. The name "Schnappi" could cause some trademark issues i guess.

Just found this:

The picture is quite cute IMO.
Seems to be a new animation series in the US.

Indeed. Not to forget those names from "Biene Maja" (= "Maya The Bee") like Maja, Willi, Flip, Thekla etc.Sendy wrote:Just THINK of all the bee-based puns you could use for the preset names. Just thinking about it iss BEE-youtiful!
