well it's a replica of the pro-one interface.

Right and wrong. Scope has a mode called XTC which makes the plug-ins available as VSTs within your DAW. You do need the cards installed but when in XTC mode the plugins function(freezing not supported), act and are labelled as VSTs.

The second is an email promo for $10 for existing customers that also goes until the end of the month and is sent by email.
I used it to extended my subscription for Computer Music. Got a year sub (13 issues) for less than 30 bucks, that's like $2,25 per issue :tu:

Same here. And not just CM. I've got 8 or 9 different mags coming in that I haven't paid anything for.

The mags themselves benefit from the increased readership which translates into ad revenue. And considering there's no increased production costs in digital distribution, it pays off handsomely for them to do this.

Zinio, on the other hand, seems to have a variety of sponsorship deals that generate income for them to do this as well. And, on top of that, the 'teaser' subscriptions surely translate into a fair amount of paid 'scripts as well. Win/win all around.

So many plugins, so little time...

20 CM Mags?

I only got 1 (ONE!) CM Magazine with the Nokia-Lumia Zinio offer, and then it disappeared forever from the list of available magazines... :x

Yep, that's how it has worked with me anyway. These $25/$50 offers got me hooked on Zinio, and now anytime a $10 voucher comes in I browse the shop and end up buying a few more mags "I just have to have". I also started a long term subscriptions recently after one of those vouchers had come in. I'm sure they know what they're doing. Win/win as you say. :hihi:

+1

And after discovering how easy it is to read the mags directly in my browser, the Zinio experience got a lot better for me.

I thought I had to download mags to my pad, but much easier just to read them in Firefox.

Got newsletter from JRR saying that all Elektron prices are going up in September 16 .

Anyone know what is this about ?

Post

?? they have a big stockpile of Analog 4 and they want to get rid of them?

Sweden's economy has dived?

Elektron is saving up for real customer support?

If the prices is rising, means the Swedish krona strengthens versus the dollar, so it's rather the US economy diving in case ;)
