Yes this is a great value, the lexicon clone verbs and channel strips along with all of the synths and windows 64 bit support makes this a no brainer. Yes this does belong here. Although hardware based, Scope plug-ins can run as VSTs within a DAW (with the cards installed of course), I upgraded this weekend. Amazing that my 13 year old cards are still workable and providing some of the best sounds that I have available.

It appears that Zinio has opened up its whole catalog to once again qualify for special discounts. For a time, they excluded a number of their magazines from vouchers, including ComputerMusic. But it is back, along with the specials.

There are currently 2 Zinio promos that I'm aware of. The first is for $25 and goes to the end of the month: zinio-offers.com/lenovo

The second is an email promo for $10 for existing customers that also goes until the end of the month and is sent by email.

I haven't done the $25 one yet, but I just did the $10 one, and it appeared that there were no restrictions. The gimmick, though, is that you need to enter a credit card, presumably to keep a subscription going after the freebie expires. I used an AMEX gift card that only had a few bucks left on it, so I could only get into so much trouble if I forgot about it. Works fine. Got the latest CM Special: Epic FX.

You are right, make sure to turn off the "Future subscription" for each magazine that you buy. It's on by default for some mags. I found it after I saw my credit card statement. But there support is nice, they have issued a refund already.

Sorry if this is seen as chat but I think it needs to be made clear Zinio offer two kinds of promotions: One is a straight voucher (like the current $10 offer) which is redeemable against any purchase (ie. any magazine or subscription) whereas the other kind is for a certain number of selected magazines (or maybe not anymore... ) This second kind would be the $50 offer floating around earlier this year (and presumably the Lenovo one too, hadn't seen that before, cheers!)
