I wasn't disputing that (I agree with it!). I was disputing the "there are worse things" argument for not be bothered by this. Not that I'm bothered a whole lot. I like to think I'm bothered to an appropriate extent, but then, don't we all? :)

this story remembered me of a friend who always prefered the "hassle-free" install versions of his legit products.

even that my karma forbids me such things, i'm not in the position to say that i don't understand him utterly.
