Are there updated expansion installers that work with the latest version? (I presume the problem is due to the updates somewhere down the line)Setup has not detected 2C-Aether installation in your system. Install 2C-Aether first, then run Add-on setup again.

I just noticed the last update seems to have reverted my preset library to the factory patches - there are only just over 450 patches now, not sure where my expansions and own/third party patches have gone (update - found backups at least thanks to Time Machine)? I tried reinstalling the expansions from backup but get this message:

Good question.
There is no longer a need to use installers for the Preset Expansions. You can now use the "Import Package" command in the file menu. Therefore we have new downloads for the Preset Expansions.
You can re-download the new versions here:
Galbanum | sonic science aural allusion
Use this coupon code if you qualify:
AetherExpansionsReDownload
Then simply use the "Import Package" function in the File menu in Aether, as described in the text file in download.
Installers should preserve anything in that was in /user/ previously.
final installers will preserve preset expansions and new 3rd party "packages" also--like the new B2 installers do...

Cool thanks that worked. You might want to warn people about the installer wiping out existing presets though (or stop it doing that), if it wasn't for Time Machine I would have been screwed.Galbanum wrote:aMUSEd wrote:I just noticed the last update seems to have reverted my preset library to the factory patches - there are only just over 450 patches now, not sure where my expansions and own/third party patches have gone (update - found backups at least thanks to Time Machine)? Everything inside /user/ should be preserved... That was the only official/legal place for user presets in 1.0.0 to 1.5.1...
Things are now different in 1.6.0 and we will now preserve everything in the presets folder EXCEPT folders that are expressly our own factory folders.

New (final?) Aether update version:
Aether 1.6.0b 128
Changes:
1) AAX Support. 32/64, OSX/Win, PT 10/11
2) Potential crash issues when running various beta versions of Aether, Breeze, and B2 at the same time fixed
3) Some AVX and AVX2 optimizations made for increased performance/efficiency
4) Per-Preset/instance Oversampling and Modulation setting options. This is very useful for using oversampling selectively as needed and wanted aesthetically. Some presets may be optimized for a given oversampling and modulation setting. Significant CPU usage savings are possible in complex projects with multiple instance if only some instances that would benefit the most from it use OS for example.
5) All known issues fixed.
Please try hard to break this in the following week and report anything and everything you may find. There are now zero known issues. Now is the time to speak up if you find otherwise.
AAX users, please report whatever you find including "all good" if that is what you find. We could use more feedback on AAX.
We expect final retail releases of all products the first week of September. New demos will be available then as well.
To get the latest Aether, follow the instructions here closely:

How do you mean wrong? All the FX presets?xtrax wrote:Something is wrong with sound output, watch your speakers on FX presets. I will skip this update.
AU version on 10.6.8
I'll download soon, but was just hoping for a bit more info to compare results.

No output is less for a 50% and some FX presets will go insanely laud, watch your monitors.elxsound wrote:

Edit:
I found the problem.
When oversampling is on 2x output is reduced and after x4 even more reduced.
Without oversampling audio is normal volume.

I attached new folder of my presets here:
http://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php?s=dl&id=1922
I can confirm the same... And a big thank you for the heads up! I dropped a limiter after Aether and I was still scarred for my monitors!
Okay, so the preset that did it (and I don't want to test the rest) was Grains of Sand from the Filtered FX factory category.

I need to ask a question regarding installation and locations. I own the perfect storm, downloaded all the latest Breeze,B2, Aether updates individually and installed(upgraded).
Ignore. backed up Mypresets. Uninstalled, delted all traces of 2caudio and started over.
Sorry

It would much more useful or Perfect storm users to have a one off simple package to download, rather than having to buy, redeem voucher, download, for each product owned...that's 5 individual processes in total for all updatesGalbanum wrote:aMUSEd wrote:I just noticed the last update seems to have reverted my preset library to the factory patches - there are only just over 450 patches now, not sure where my expansions and own/third party patches have gone (update - found backups at least thanks to Time Machine)?
