The thing is i can't understand here is that why weren't all these bugs nailed down before releasing any version of Logic X?
I mean as i said some other place ...what were the beta testers actually doing? Do they or did they actually know what they were doing? f**king hell i was sussing out bugs they hadn't even nailed down all the time they were developing this daw and how long was that? I don't know but some dudes want shooting with shit.
Can't even use the Virus plugin here which is a joke. I love this software but i need it to work and not crash on me every time i want to open a synth or edit stuff. There isnt' even anyone you can contact personally who tests this or develops it you just have to send a crash report FFS - JOKE!
testers of logic x are AVIN A BARF MATE!
BTW
Good morning lol

Hi Ken,kenporter wrote:Virus Control in multi mode and multi output mode seems to be working fine for me. I do have a Snow though, so I only have 4 part multi set up and use all three USB outputs. Sorry you're experiencing issues.rob_lee wrote:I can't use the Virus in Logic X 10.0.2 now. Every time i get a crash within minutes. Working with audio is now fine. The only plugins that crash for me are Virus Control and ZebraHZ i also cleared the cache etc and no joy. I hope they'll fix this issue. Only reliable synth i have now is Massive and the included Logic synths

Are you using OS5? Thing is I agree that LPX seems very buggy but specifically the Ti issue could also be due to it being in beta (tempted to say "as well" lol). It may be the case that the Logic devs didn't even test Logic with it because they knew it was in beta, or maybe they did but with the OS4 release which is known to be stable. I know it worked fine before the update so obviously something has changed what has changed might be something that makes it work better for most plugins but exposes a bug that is present in the Ti. Have you tried bringing it up with Access?rob_lee wrote: Can't even use the Virus plugin here which is a joke. Hi mate,
Yes i'm using OS5 here and it's buggy as hell so my next port of call will be an e-mail to Access later. Thing is i tested OS5 with Studio One, Cubase 7 and it works just fine so i'm thinking it's an LPX problem here. Virus works as it should without glitches in other daws. I'll e-mail Access anyways though incase it is a problem with the OS5

Yeah it sure seems that way. Can't believe i finally get to use a daw that i can instantly take to and the boom FORCE QUITaMUSEd wrote:Yeah sounds like you're experiencing "clash of the betabugs"
It's just fine with the likes of Massive and the included instruments but i'm really needing to use my Virus here so i'll put the track on hold and go back to my Massive bank ffs.
Don't even think the developers or testers read this forum (i were them i wouldn't either) lol but i hope a new update comes soon to fix this.

I'm sure it will come soon Rob, they seem to be bringing out updates pretty fast now ... And the multi out bug is a big one I guess for lot of people so I think update would be imminent
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

The Ti has always been pretty fussy about what hosts it works with though. On PC I found it worked best with Sonar and Cantabile, with both latency was brilliant. On Mac so far I've mainly been using it with Reaper more than Logic as it's so stable.rob_lee wrote:Yeah it sure seems that way. Yeah i'll give them that for sure BUT i mean how long was this in development? Not sure as i'm new to Logic so i'm hoping a fix for this soon cause there's got to be thousands using the Virus with this daw. Anyways i'll just use other synths for now.penguinfromdeep wrote:I'm sure it will come soon Rob, they seem to be bringing out updates pretty fast now ... I thought OS5 on Virus was in final release? i don't install beta versions and i know i'm on v5 something.
As for stability... i don't recall Sonar being stable in the last few months i used it, but then i feel that way about Sonar as a host, not the Virus as an add-on to it.
i haven't upgraded to Logic X. Still at Logic 9 (most recent version of 9). Still... here's a stability experience with Virus TI:
A couple days ago, i was using Virus TI as a sound interface and the Virus TI plugin to mess around and play with sounds. i finally found something i wanted to record. i did so, hit save, and then it just froze. Had to force-quit it.
i don't know if it was the Virus, Logic, or the fact that i was working on Logic through another Mac using Screen Sharing (because the NVidia GPU died on my music Mac and i have no option to replace the machine - i need access to Snow Leopard for older software and plugins, and the newer Mac is running 10.8.4).
Anyone ever tried to get anything done remotely in Logic like this? i continued to use Logic remotely with no crashes for two days WITHOUT using the Virus plugin (just using Virus as a sound device).

Sorry my mistake - 5.0.4.02 is the latest version and that is beta but 5.0.3 was finalised, I hadn't realised because I just looked at the top of the downloads list.Jace-BeOS wrote:I thought OS5 on Virus was in final release? i don't install beta versions and i know i'm on v5 something.

i'm requesting my logic X refund to help pay for cubase i have ordered and will transfer my songs from 9 then sell that too, and buy X if i read in a year or so every single one of the major bugs that affects me has been fixed. No demo SUCKS.. never again.
I only bought Logic on your recommendation mate and now your jumping ship to Cubase? Pffff i invested thousands to Steinberg over the years and bought nearly all their stuff only to be shafted with Halion 5. I wont' be using Cubase anymore and i was on it 22yrs...
PS
So you don't get wet every time you launch logic now Theo? Lol... stick with it mate it costs peanuts @ $199 for what you get. Try getting another daw for that, they all have bugs mate and Cubase 7.0.5 is a disaster I SHIT YOU NOT!
