The good news is, XLN Audio is one of the best in the industry AFAIK.

I want to sell my XLN Audio products. Are license transfers allowed?

Yes. Here's how you do it:

Uninstall Addictive Drums and any expansions and log-in to your xlnaudio.com account. Go to the Licenses page and click "Remove Computer" next to all your authorizations. Tell the buyer to create an account with us and give us his/her e-mail address. After that we will transfer the licenses to the new owners account.

Seems like a lot of sellers is trying to shift Audio Damage goods.

Why, are the AD plugins not good?

Nah, likely just because of the sales they had and people picked up more than they use.

New Alesis A25 25-Note USB MIDI Keyboard Controller ($25 + Free shipping)

on ebay (link below). They appear to be from S. American market so all the info I can find is in Spanish... anybody speak spanish and can tell if there's anything wrong with them? From google translate they seem to be just your basic USB controller which for $25 delivered (sorry US only I guess) seems pretty cheap.

@chrisby - Thanks! This is a great find!! I doesn't appear that the A25 was sold in the US (we got the Q25, I guess). It looks like it's a re-branded MidiMan Oxygen8 controller (in a different color), which I have enjoyed owning for quite a while. It's a pretty solid piece of gear, for what it is.

Please note that the advertised aftertouch function isn't integrated into the key bed. To make it work, you hit the "midi\select" key beneath the LED screen, then hit the 2nd white key (you'll see after touch written above it, check the link below for a close up picture). Then you can move the data entry slider to whatever value you desire. You can do the same thing for velocity, reverb depth, ect...

FWIW, I can't locate an Alesis supported driver anywhere for this one...I looked everywhere, even on the Japan site under legacy products, so driver support may be a problem - unless it really is just an Oxygen 8 under the hood, in which case those drivers may work (which is a bit of a gamble). I asked the seller, The Original DJ Store, where we can get drivers. I'll post back whatever I hear.

Here is their response:

Hi,

As far as drivers are concerned, this product should be plug and play with Windows 8 and there should be not drivers needed.

Best,
Eric

Thanks for the info... all good to hear! I'd actually already ordered one just 'cause I wanted something mobile with knobs (was hoping/assuming driver compliance). I was looking at padkontrol's but saw this so figured I'd give it a shot. Mine should be here early next week... if it doesn't work I'll post back. Thanks again for the info....

PS - I noticed he was selling about 2-3 a day and then 7 since this post.... kvr effect?

PSS - forgot to ask... from your note the velocity sensitivity is not clear to me, by default is the device velocity sensitive out of the box?

Also curious about this. I just picked one up for the same reasons (something mobile for when I'm on the road and inspiration hits :), get a few extra knobs, etc.). Figured I can't go wrong at $25.

On a side note, I also picked up Kush Audio's Clariphonic for 50% off. Had my eye on that one for awhile but at 50% off, it was an instant buy. So thanks to DFoisie for that (I believe it was on the No Chat/Gossip thread).

Yes, sorry...the Oxygen 8 key bed is velocity sensitive, and works really well - but it does not have aftertouch sensors on the key bed. You can manually program both of these with the key combination though, as well as some other parameters.

WTF! Another company not caring for existing customers. Yes I feel angry. :x

My pleasure! The Oxygen 8 is pretty old, and it needs drivers to work. I snagged one of these with hope that it is class-compliant and will work on my iPad, unlike the O8. After I test it out, I'll post back to this thread.

Take care,
G
