I don't think I said I want to toy around, I really want to do some serious experimenting with the arp and sequencer.
I am trying to keep myself from spending more money by buying the Spire synth which has a great arp/seq.
So I am holding out for the Diva upgrade, but getting more and more tempted to spend the $100.00 I don't have.
I really am into the berlin old school music which use so much of the sequencers. Nough said, I will wait very impatiently for this major upgrade of Diva.

The Arp/Sequencer Combo in Diva is gonna turn heads...

I can't wait, I am hoping the arp/seq is very similar to the arp/seq relationship that the A4 has.
I hope to use the Diva in conjunction with my A4 for 8 layered or more sequencing.

But in the meantime..........have a great holiday in Spain Urs. 8)

The A4 is very easy to program by just selecting a note based on the keyboard scale but with it's buttons (white buttons=whited keys and black buttons= black keys representing the keyboard scale, C, C#, D, D#, E, F,G etc.), then you just put the note anywhere within the steps of the sequencer by just clicking that button in the horizontal timeline. The A4 also has an arp that can be used separately or effect the sequencer in interesting ways. Editing is as easy as the initial programming and easy to transpose while playing.

The arp and sequencer/arp on the Spire synth (Demo) are not very intuitive.... to me anyway, so I am hoping Diva is not set up that way.

The seq/arp on the Waves element (demo) are easy to use but not as easy to see what notes you have chosen (0. +1, +2, +3 etc. based on the keyboard scale and no interaction between arp and sequencer.....just my own opinion on that.

But to make a long statement short the A4 is intuitive and very easy to program, and it really helps to see what notes you are using, it's fun to manipulate while performing by adding notes or subtracting notes by the clicking of buttons...but the interaction of the arp with the sequencer adds new dimensions to the sequencer. With the A4 you can create great sequences in a few short minutes, I hope the Diva will be similar in those ways. The drawback to the A4 is it only has four sequencer tracks. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the explanation...

The Arp Seq combo in Diva is rather different from the standard sort of implementation like in Spire or Element. It is more performance oriented.

Hey, but mine is the 7th. Let's see how much we can push :hihi:
Rekkerd.org the latest news on audio plugins, sample libraries & virtual instruments, synth presets & more.
Don't click here if you can't control yourself!

That would be the day 8)

There were a few last minute hiccups though - the flanger mode needs to change the plugin latency, and that caused a lot of ungood noises. But then the fix for that brought Cubase to its knees. And that's only one out of 3 or 4 issues. It should be fine now but who knows what else we'll find over the weekend

However, you can get more familiar with Satin now because we added the "HotStars" as I call them, at the bottom of the Satin page:

Nah. With that birthday, for a proper gift, you'd need to get a TR-909 emu. ;)

I am sure it has already been discussed elsewhere but does Satin allow frippertronics kind of very long delay times tape effects ?
