Deva, LOL!
("deva" = "camel", in Croatian)
On topic - +1 on the request.

While we are at it, how about the highest note as well?

Great idea, thanks Reuben5150,
-as it's not so likely we'll get poly AT keyboards soon.
It would add much to expressive playing to get this.
Latest, highest/lowest note

Well, if people have only supported this, we'd have cheap affordable and QUALITY PAT keyboards available...
There'll be a second chance to support this project. I urge everyone to chip in.

That looks interesting... pretty reasonable price for what you get... can Live record the data?EvilDragon wrote:Well, if people have only supported this, we'd have cheap affordable and QUALITY PAT keyboards available...

I suppose so. There are not a lot of DAWs which don't record PAT.

Live ignores polyAT.... unfortunately... but I did see them using Live in their demo, so I figured they might have some trick going on in their VST plug-inEvilDragon wrote:I suppose so. There are not a lot of DAWs which don't record PAT.

Yeah, they have a wrapper that makes any plugin PAT aware.

On OS X at least, there's at least another thing you can do: build a M4L device using Leigh Hunt's MIDI I/O externals, capture the PAT using some MIDI input directly, and do whatever you need with the incoming MIDI data. For example, you could convert PAT to something else, or host VSTs inside the M4L device and route the MIDI (incl. PAT) to them. This way toy can also distribute corresponding note and PAT events to multiple monophonic instances of a plug-in.pdxindy wrote:Live ignores polyAT.... unfortunately... but I did see them using Live in their demo, so I figured they might have some trick going on in their VST plug-inEvilDragon wrote:I suppose so. Is there such a device?Ch00rD wrote:On OS X at least, there's at least another thing you can do: build a M4L device using Leigh Hunt's MIDI I/O externals, capture the PAT using some MIDI input directly, and do whatever you need with the incoming MIDI data. Not sure, I don't have any devices using PAT, so haven't really looked into it yet - and I'm not sure how useful it would be without actually using devices that transmit PAT. But perhaps I'll try to build one over a few cups of strong coffee later...pdxindy wrote:Is there such a device?Ch00rD wrote:On OS X at least, there's at least another thing you can do: build a M4L device using Leigh Hunt's MIDI I/O externals, capture the PAT using some MIDI input directly, and do whatever you need with the incoming MIDI data.
