Looking forward to the MRotary
I understand that two versions are considered - a "modern" with all features and a restricted "vintage" one. I strongly prefer a full featured version!

Also excited that a Noise reduction tool is on it's way. I do hope you'll be able to do something special in this regard. You know real-time "transparent" noise-reduction, making artifacts from the process something of the past  :x

Actually both modern and vintage will be released, the question is only in which order, and how much is the vintage sound appreciated, so that the modern one should take advantage of these old principles ;).

About noise reduction - yeah, that one is in to-do list for a long time :). Actually you can do quite some using MSpectralDynamics. We'll see about it. The trouble here is that it probably cannot be done without latency, so real-time is more or less out of question.

I tried the MSpectralDynamics for noise reduction but not very successfully.
[I have other tools that work better, because I know how to use them]

When you say latency, is it more latency than we expect from say a linear phase EQ...

Good to know that there will be two rotary plugs!

Best Noise Reduction i've ever used is the one in Adobe Audition. Record a "quiet" section - then use that thumbprint to reduce the Noise. Works great with my Noisy synths. Would the Melda Noise Reduction work in a similar way? I tried doing a similar thing to the Audition way in the AutoEqualizer and it didn't work.

Post

MAutoEqualizer is a completely different thing. Anyway basically all noise reduction algorithms currently work more or less the same way.

I figured it was - just experimenting.

Will the noise reduction plugin also have a pop/crackle remover for LP records and other situations that can cause pops in the projects?

PS: Really like you plugins

Who knows ;). But note that denoiser isn't really next on the line.

What about a simple one voice pitch shifter?

Hello Vojtech, i'll take my chances in this thread and report my latest findings/requests for the melda production creative bundle.

- I was trying out Izotope Trash 2 and i noticed the new waveshaper feature.
This made me want to go back to the melda multiband waveshaper to test the same curves as the Izotope plug. Sure enough the melda waveshaper can do great things but i really rediscovered the potential of the melda waveshaper when i inserted an M EQ before and another M EQ after the waveshaper !!
I think it would be a great idea to add an input EQ and an output EQ inside the waveshaper ? Maybe add an "EQ" button next to the "random" button to make the EQs appear in a new window ?
This really expands the capabilities of the waveshaper!
This could also be very useful on your other distortion and saturation plugins.

- In the vocoder, when modulating the filter "bands" parameter, the bands on the EQ graph will tend to go back to zero if you draw an EQ curve that is not flat.

Also I still believe it would be great to do another "filter" version of the vocoder with the possibility to control each band of the EQ graph with the multiparameter banks mode. It just sounds so cool when moving the EQ bands on the fly with the mouse. :)

What about the plug inspired by space boy?

Ok so:

1) Waveshaper with eqs - sorry, but no. MXXX will do things like this. It may be useful of course, but then you may want to add a phaser, stereo widener and many others. MXXX is for these experiments, well, when it is released of course ;).

2) MVocoder bands - yes, that's inevitable ;). You are doing some pretty crazy stuff huh? :D

3) Filter like vocoder - well, that has lower priority now 8) more interesting stuff going on, such as the synth... ;)

4) Space boy - we won't do such a small thing, rather a big thing and it will take some more time. Though I'm thinking a little about something like this, we'll see.

Well i was trying to not use MXXX and find a workaround since we don't really know it's future, it's not in the downloads list anymore, i dont't know if it is reliable. MXXX has been very stable but for example if i build presets with MXXX 7.10, will i be able to open them with future MXXX versions ? At this point i need something i can 100% depend on.

The fact MXXX has not been realeased as planned has been a disapointment but i'm still very grateful i can continue to use the beta version, and i'm interested to receive future updates of the beta. :)
