7 multiphonics (played on an alto sax) in 7 keygroups (granular mode, similar settings for all oscillators) playing simultaneously, each group has 2 dedicated LFOs, one for volume/drive (Non-Retrigger/unipolar), one for pan position (bipolar/Retrigger). All 14 LFOs (saws and sines) run at slightly different speeds and phase positions, a bit of speed modulation for all 14 LFOs is added by a random glide LFO in Retrigger mode. A FM synth with random LFO modulation of the modulator pitches, levels and filter cutoff adds electronic multiphonics. Delay and reverb FX are all MachFive, the FM synth also uses a stereo chorus.

This sound was made only using MachFive's synth engines, two synth modules, one using a talkbox filter - 100% MachFive.

Here is a video processing a celtic harp recording I made yesterday in MachFive - granular mode, setting the Layer to 5 unsion voices so I can spread the position of the grains with unison modulation as well as the pitch. Tweaking the assigned Macros on the fly:

A pad sound made entirely in MachFive 3 using the wavetable synth with an imported single cycle wave from a cello sample and an analog stack synth module with 2 oscillators engaged.

Granulated tubular chime samples through tuned Combfilters in MachFive 3 - Midi automation of drive, chorus and phasing, fast random combfilter modulation via Modwheel:

The only thing that really sucks is the lack of host automation in MachFive, Midi only,,,

What a great sound!Sampleconstruct wrote:Granulated tubular chime samples through tuned Combfilters in MachFive 3 - Midi automation of drive, chorus and phasing, fast random combfilter modulation via Modwheel:

Demo for "Bowed Vibra Synth" combining multisampled bowed vibra samples with MachFive's internal synth engines (analog+FM). Whoever needs new sounds for MachFive, my upcoming library Scattered Entity Vol. 1 for MachFive 3 is up for pre-orders now.

Demo for a Celtic Harp patch from the sound library Scattered Entity Vol. 1 - the harp is tuned to a dorian scale, 3 falling glissandi samples split across the keyboard, all running in granular mode with lots of modulation of the granular parameters. Live Macro-tweaking of sample speed, sample detune, phaser amount, phaser speed, LP/HP filter (UVI/Layer level) and reverb mix. All FX are MachFive 3.

Great sounding stuff, I can't wait for the library to be released. Mach Five 3 i a very deep instrument indeed and you are exploiting that to the utmost with these sounds.

Thanks, programming sounds in M5 is very inspiring, although there are some issues like one can't batch edit several key groups at once, e.g. change a granular parameter, add a filter and so forth. Other than that M5 is really beginning to rock me and the library will turn out great.Bassballjg wrote:Great sounding stuff, I can't wait for the library to be released. You can, at least, select multiple keyzones and change filter1 and filter2, including their parameters, in the KEYGROUP(S) section.

Yes, true, my description above was wrong, but you can't batch edit many other things.EvilDragon wrote:You can, at least, select multiple keyzones and change filter1 and filter2, including their parameters, in the KEYGROUP(S) section.

That's indeed true - it's because each keyzone can have a completely different oscillator type, so it would be chaos allowing changes in the topmost panel.
There's at least a "Batch" button with a decent amount of commonly used functions (change osc type, etc.). Anyways preaching to the choir here, you already know all this.
