Can you maybe give a quick overview about the deay time beat section?
From the manual, I do understand that the middle position means 4/16 - or 1/4th - or 4.0 in the GUI for that matter.
That would mean (at 120bpm):
0 = off (no delay)
1 = 1/16
2 = 1/8
3 = 1/8 (dot)
4 = 1/4th
5 = ?
6 = 1/4 (dot)
7 = ?
8 = 1/2
With tests in Cubase, this seems to be correct.
AND - probably a bug:
Have higher host speed (example 150bpm) and both 7 and 8 as delay setting doesn't work anymore.

I know it's too early to ask for additional features but I'm putting this down here to remind myself so that I can remind you guys in a year or two.
Feature Request: A custom Rec and Repro head EQ. Instead of ready made curves, how about a simple 3 or 4 band EQ with shelves and parametric EQs?
Cheers! Loving the plugin!

Why so complicated?Compyfox wrote:Can you maybe give a quick overview about the deay time beat section?
The units are 1/16th notes, hence
0 = next to no delay
0.5 = half a sixteenth = 1/32th note
1 = 1/16th
1.5 = dotted 1/16th
2 = 2 x 1/16th = 1/8th
3 = 3 x 1/16th = dotted 1/8th
4 = 4 x 1/16th = quarter note
and so on, just like what you found.

that's what I would have thought too, but then the manual speaks about the tape speed influencing delay time....... or is it that you just get higher values of integers (1/16ths) with different tape speeds?
I ask myself as I go to check..

Is it possible to turn off saturation/EQ curves and use JUST the tape compression?
I have not had the chance to demo Satin yet, but i would love to think a lo-fi tape option would be available. I would use that as much as a great sounding mastering tape... big Boards Of Canada fan

Hum, I can't see myself remembering that in use.Urs wrote:Why so complicated?Compyfox wrote:Can you maybe give a quick overview about the deay time beat section?

Sure, I use my ears, but having values like "1/8, 1/8d, 1/8t" would be way better !

We (well, I) have decided that in host sync mode the tape speed would not change the delay times. So in host sync the tape head positions are "locked" to multiples of 1/16th, while in non-synced mode they're locked in inches, hence affected by tape speed.zvenx wrote:that's what I would have thought too, but then the manual speaks about the tape speed influencing delay time....... or is it that you just get higher values of integers (1/16ths) with different tape speeds?

You can turn EQ curves off, but you can't omitt saturation.David Else wrote:Is it possible to turn off saturation/EQ curves and use JUST the tape compression?

Hmmm, maybe we can print them onto the sliders... might be a job for the skin designers...K-Slash wrote:Sure, I use my ears, but having values like "1/8, 1/8d, 1/8t" would be way better !

Yes, triplets are possible too. Any kind of swing factor is.Frantz wrote:No triplets?Urs wrote: The units are 1/16th notes, hence

I think 5.33 would be a quarter triplet, 2.67 an eigth triplet (I have a long history of confusing those though).
