Hi there,
I discovered an odd behavior with Manalyzer when using it in different Samplerates. For Example on 44.1kHz Manalyzer reacts slower but more precise in the Low Frequency range than on 96kHZ with the exact same settings where the display is much quicker but not as precise in the Low End.

So unfortunately when working in 96k I always have to adjust my settings.
I wonder if you there's something I'm doing wrong, or if this is a wanted behavior.

Here are the presets I always use on my master in Cubase 7 64Bit on Win7 64Bit:

On the 96k preset I had to raise the fft size to 16384 to get the same Low-End resolution as in the 44.1k preset with only 8192.

I know it's a plugin in a really inexpensive bundle and for that prize it's insanely good, but if you ever consider to work on it some more I would like to see an extended frequency range display up to nyquist for each samplerate setting. (like in Fabfilter Pro Q)

PS: MSpectralDynamics is the Bomb! I recently bought it cause it's way more cpu friendly than Wavesfactory Trackspacer and works even better for Spectral Sidechain Compressing. Really good job on this one!

kind regards

Hi,

yes, this is a natural thing. The plugin could theoretically downsample the input, but that wouldn't be a good thing for scientific purposes and take additional CPU. So, basically, the higher the sampling rate, the quicker the response, but worse resolution. You can speed up the response using "Overlap", and increase resolution using "FFT size" or "Super-resolution". With latest version you can get extremely quick and accurate results if you are willing to spend enough CPU on it ;).

As for MSpectralDynamics - thank you! It's actually one of a kind tool, and all the possibilities haven't been explored yet, but certainly it does amazing job in many tasks ;).
