I posted this issue a while ago and it didn't even get a response from Sugar Bytes, so I'll try again.
In Cyclop when you're using the hotkeys, the notes retrigger. It kind of defeats the purpose of using them to change sound settings and morphing between the settings if you can't do it legato.
Also:
In Guitarist, the midi output note lengths are arbitrarily short and don't reflect how long the notes are held in the pattern. If they're muted, the notes will be shortened, but the note length is the same if the note is held for an 8th-note or a whole note. One of the best uses for guitarist in my mind is driving other synths, as the level of control you have over the pattern creation trumps the sound of the guitar. Hell, if there were a lightweight version of guitarist that just had the strumming pattern generator (I guess like a guitar-styled version of Thesys) I'd jump on that in a second. But it still hinges on note lengths and articulations coming through midi properly.
Hope to hear from you this time!

Cyclop: Not sure what you mean by legato. If you hold a hotkey and then press another, the new hotkey will be activated. What do you have in mind?
Guitarist: The note length is determined by the pattern sequencer resolution.
If Guitarist runs at 1/16th notes, the note length should be 1/16th, and if you run Guitarist at 1/8th, the notes should be longer.
The "damp" and "dead" playing styles, shorten the notes, to achieve that effect with Midi gear. Making the notes longer could lead to trigger problems with your synth, because repeating the same overlapping note would cause issues.
I just added a note length parameter to the feature request list anyway, thanks for the feedback.
