The Drop 0.9.18 - the plugin bypass button isn't working here. It's the 32bit windows version. The same applies to The Glue 1.2.9 and both were working with the previous versions.

Yes, this is a confirmed bug, I already spotting this and have fixed it. Another little thing I spotted is that (and this has probably been happening for a while) automation of the trigger buttons doesn't work as expected since they send back a message themselves saying they have been clicked which can cause automation to be bypassed since it looks like the user is moving the control themselves. This is also fixed and I will release it soon.

PS: the power button in both still work via automation, and this is also equivalent to using the hosts bypass feature so you can also use that instead.

I am enjoying the new filter. Excellent work Sir.

May I make a suggestion for your next filter?

One synth that always stands out as sounding instantly recognisable is the Prophet 5. I believe early models came with SSM2044 filters (which are rumoured to sound better but that's how it always goes) and later Curtis. The smaller pro-one also has that filter sound but these were the curtis filters. Those two synths were on so many late 70s early 80s records. More so than any other synth I would think. All those early Madonna tracks for instance. Those filters sound so unique. In my humble opinion, I think that a model of either of those filters would go so much further than yet another 24db moog clone. The SSM2044 was also in the polysix and mono/poly. Two synths I love.

+1 for the Curtis filter, which I believe was also used in the (underrated) Ensoniq ESQ-1.

Indeed +1. But the ESQ-1 has a different Curtis filter: CEM3379 VC Signal Processor Filter/Mix/VCA( More stuff on one chip). More info here:

About the Prophet 5:
PROPHET 5: the first Prophet 5 series used the SSM filter, later they were changed to CEM
Prophet 5 Rev 1 & 2: 11x SSM2030 VCO, 5x SSM2040 VCF, 10x SSM2050 EG, 21x SSM2020 VCA
Prophet 5 Rev 3: 11x CEM3340 VCO, 10x CEM3310 EG, 5x CEM3320 VCF

Most people I know that actually have a Prophet-5, love the rev2. After they had the 1 and/or 3.

There are many chips that deserve detailed attention and the SSM2044 is one of them, as well as the SSM2040 and CEM3320, but also using biased diodes like the Steiner Parker differential Sallen Key. For The Drop I chose the discrete transistor based gain cells of the Ladder and MS20 mk1 as well as the CA3080/LM13600/LM13700 (all have the same OTA core) and the IR3109. In the future I may have time to do in depth models of other voltage controlled gain cells and other filter topologies, but these will be new products or paid for add-ons.

Love the drop. Major MAJORILY great filter. I've been playing with this and it's so acoustically pleasing. Not any extreme examples just simlpe dreamy sweeps. Did notice on LP CascadeSH I was getting some very tiny resonance distortion on the freq hitting max (20k). May have been the comp or recording used, but dropped it off a little and all was good. Maybe something I'm not technically understanding. There's some sweet spots on the cascade around the 7k mark I noticed ;)

Anyway can I share (not a master piece, just a noodle). The Drop is on the hi-hats and the obvious trancey lead :) all fun.

Is there a way to get the filter to open fully using the envelopes? The range seems restricted when modulating with envelopes.

I found turning off the lfo, envelopes, midi, and fm, reduces the cpu usage a bit, enough to stop some crackling here. It's kinda handy to be able to turn them off, because they weren't being used!

That still does not allow you to modulate the full range.

I'm sure its supposed to be this way but I'm interested in the reason.


Also is there a way to save oversampling settings? Saving preset as default does not save the setting & means i have to select higher oversampling every time i open the plugin.
