v 2.0.1 Komplete 9 Ulitmate install issues

I purchased 2.0.1 a few days ago. since this would allow me to install Komplete 9 Ultimate, and installed 2.0.1 successfully. I then followed the instructions (or as it turns out, thought I did) on the Receptorland channel on YouTube for Komplete 9 Ultimate installation. When I started the install of the komplete9-run-install-2.3.1.noarch.rpm file, I had all packages already copied to the "Drop Installers Here" folder, but I did not have the file Komplete 9 Ultimate Setup PC.exe in that folder. This is what happened:
*** Installing '-log /home/Musician/.wine/dosdevices/c:/Drop Installers Here/komplete9-run-install-2.3-1.noarch.rpm' - 2013-09-17 04:21:59 PM

komplete9-run-install-2.3-1
service remove-k9fixer does not support chkconfig
wine: cannot find '/home/Musician/.wine/drive_c/Drop Installers Here/Komplete 9 Setup PC.exe'
--> Installed: /home/Musician/.wine/dosdevices/c:/Drop Installers Here/komplete9-run-install-2.3-1.noarch.rpm - 04:22:00 PM
I'm among other things a software developer, so I'm a little surprised that the install would proceed to completion when a vital file is missing, but perhaps that is how rpm files behave - I plan to research this.
So now I have a Receptor with that rpm file installed but without it having invoked the Komplete setup executable. I am unable to find any way to uninstall the rpm via the interface. So I think I have two choices:
1) Attempt to boot the Receptor to a command prompt, and run a command to remove the package manually.
2) Restore the hard drive from a backup that I made when I loaded Komplete 8, and then start again.
Before I attempt to execute the above options, does anyone have either an alternative approach, or any other suggestion for how to resolve this? The rpm file appears to be binary but could perhaps be edited to use the -u option to update/reinstall the rpm.
Any thoughts before I get adventurous?
Thanks in advance,
Gerry

Key point that I neglected to mention above - standard rpm file does not appear to permit reinstallation of an already installed package, which is the issue. Until I remove the package or similar, I can't install K9.

Final question for Muse - if I have to restore my Receptor hard drive to a previous state, can I reinstall and authorize the 2.0.1 upgrade that I purchased?

Hi there...
Sorry to hear that the k9 install did not go according to plan. Please contact customer support by filling out a help desk ticket and we will help you resolve the problem.
And should you need to have your drive recloned (doubtful...) then you will not have to repurchase the 2.0.1 license... it is tied to the hardware and can be reauthorized as required to work in that particular Receptor.
All the best
Bryan
