It definitely has that Waldorf pedigree! :)

64bit should help the slow GUI (hopefully), otherwise yeah won't make much difference.

It is a fantastic synth. It could really do with some 'massive macro' type controls though to help give some manual control over the modulations. Maybe I miss somethign, but sometimes struggle to set up some sounds I want, not everything I'd like is in the modulation matrix.

It has four 'generic' sources in the mod matrix, but I have no idea how to map these to an external cc control...

Try using something like Midishaper with it ;)

sounds noble but I earn part of my living making music and I really cannot work with something that needs special attention all the time. I'm talking about lost presets in VSTi (AU works fine - but I learned it the hard way), the GUI memory leak and other small things I don't really remember now.

I've found that I have so little time for making music, that I cannot spent it on wayward plugins. sounds not that noble, but more realistic :).

I don't know those bugs that well, but I know Largo is flakey and sometimes problematic. I did experience the lost presets once, project loaded up with the default patch on every instance. It's a shame, it's a fantastic synth, let down by a few bugs and no 64-bit. But I expect Waldorf will deal with all this in one go when they update it.

It needs to be lighter somehow, it feels a bit resource heavy.

And programming it is a little strange sometimes, I feel that it's a little unusual in how it's sliders respond.

I would be a happy man if they would just port PPG Wavegenerator and Wavemapper from the iPad to VST/AU.

Waldorf has nothing to do with those apps....

You cannot change them, they are fixed for now (although I don't know to which values...)

Supposedly we will be able to assign them in the next update, whenever that happens. Let's see. :)

I hope for that :) I'm selling my Largo, but a part of me just hopes that nobody will buy it and Waldorf will make an update that will fix all of this :D I really like the sound of Largo.

I've been demoing this the last 2 days now, and i'm really impressed by the sound... easily beats anything in my (poor) arsenal, in terms of sound quality. Especially the filters are awesome, very versatile and complex sounding, while being very smooth. I don't know, Largo just sounds "right". Most of my plugins make me wonder why i have to work so hard to make them sound the way i want, but this one just feels and felt right from the beginning. Well, i guess that's the legacy of their company, with so many synths they built, they simply know how to do it right. Actualy i never was a friend of the sound demos on Waldorf's homepage, but i guess that was more due to the fact that they showcased the Wavetable stuff mainly.

Yeah it really helps to be able to demo it. You soon start to realize how expressive Largo is.
