And any musician that aspires to be different, would welcome an app like MadPad.

You keep going. Translation: Anyone who is not willing to pay 30 bucks for Different Drummer does not want to be a different and creative musician but just the same as all others.

You know: Different does not equal "better" and thus worth more money.

In addition: Many apps are different and still cost less, e.g. propellerhead "Figure".

Why don't you just cut the crap and take whatever you want for your app. Your justifications simply do not work. So be honest and just tell us that you cannot cope with lowering the price for your precious child (a perfectly valid reason)and drop all the generalizing, patronizing (and highly invalid) bullshit.

Reactable (is it different enough?) does also have an in-app sharing community.
I'm sure there are others too.

Really zero phased by auto-negative detractor types. It's amusing the amount of energy people will spend to critique something they've never tried or don't appear to understand. A nose flute is more 'different' than most software I've seen and a talented musician can do more with a cup and a voice than most could do with all the apps in the app store and draw bigger audiences too...so i have a pretty good grip on that little 'reality factor'...think beyond the app...to the music. A talented musician can also use apps brilliantly but you'll never see them up here putting developers down...they are too busy making music.

So therefore the cup should cost more than all the apps in the app store?

Whether your app is worth it is not for you to decide but the users, how spoiled, unprofessional and untalented they may be. If you had released it as a VST no one would raise an eyebrow over 30 bucks (or even 150 bucks, which were your intro price) but you have released it for iOS where you have to compete with other talented devs who can afford to stick to the iOS price tag and that will get you sneezy comments if you try to convince people that your app is that much better. As already said, the problem is not the app, but your arguments for the higher price. So just stop arguing and leave the value judgements to present and potential customers.

I Don't understand your obsession with the price of this app.

There is never any mention of the app itself or how it works or what it does well or doesn't do well just this repition that it costs too much when it actually costs the same or less then other apps out there.

All the Waldorf stuff is @ $29.99 Cubasis is $50.00

I saw 2 Indian rhythm apps at $24.99 and $34.99 are you going to go after them too. Are you the .99c price police??

You say they are not comparable but why wouldn't this app compare to a synth app?

BTW I just bought Animoog at the @12.99 price and don't understand all the noise about this app. A bunch of Ethereal sounds (small preset list too) I don't think I can use.

I do think I would need some time with this app to see if does what I would like it to do so if I buy it, it stays.

Anyway, It seems to boil down to 2 things:

1. You don't think the developer should charge the price he is charging because other apps are cheaper in the app store, which seems a little strange to me because other apps costs more in the App store too.
You just don't think "this" app should have "this" price tag for a reason that has not been clearly explained. \\seems judgemental to me and not your call anyway.

2. You don't like the way the developer promotes his app as being unique or making valuble beats etc....
Look around at other app promotions either here or elsewhere.
If you have been at KVR for a while you know developers pop their head in all the time to promote their product.
This one seems minor compared too some of the other "in your face" pushes I've seen here over the years.
If I was a developer I would of course pay attention to these types of sites and "promote" my product.

What is wrong with that?

as far as the "I would be a perfect customer" (sic) for this comment,

(Snarkyness aside)

You might actually be a little more on the mark than you think as I spend a lot of time studying rhythms

Maybe I can Maybe I can't but I'll find out soon enough.

So I am still waiting to hear your thoughts on this whole Wave idea and whether is is a vaild approach to modifying Rhythms/ (the Time)
or maybe you can't speak to that because you are too hung up on the pricing.
...Let it go!
So buy this f**king app then, perfect customer, and stfu.
And get lost in the wonderful in-app community. Really, get lost in there. And never come back here.

I have already told you once how to get a refund.

And I agree with BMoore. You should really stop torturing yourself and get the DD app. as far as I get it you have 24 hours to demand a refund.

And BTW I am not obsessed with the high price of the app, only the invalid and misleading arguments for it.

If you really want to know I think the wave idea sounds cool.

Post

I wasn't asking how to get a refund, or anything for that matter......

..but I may do that with Animoog. I don't see the noise about this one.......

I did just buy the DD app and this discourse is not what I call torture, I call it research.

Hopefully this wasn't a 30 second download "app brick"

BTW, all else, you are entitled to your expressed opinions
