I just heard about this plugin and WOW!! Congratulations on another hit! I would like to demo it more before purchasing (on my laptop with headphones - would like to listen in my studio on monitors - but I also dont want to miss out on the intro period. Do you know how long the intro period will last?

Also, since I'm already posting, is it possible to actually bypass the "rotary" function and just use this as an amp only? I dont see the usual "edit" functionality which usually lets you dig under the hood in other Melda plugins.

Thanks in advance for the help and reply, and keep up the great work! I would have never in a million years thought I needed a rotary plugin! HAHA!

Thank you!!

Well, actually you should hurry up! The introductory price will end with MMultiBandComb release, which would be very very soon, a few days I suppose.

The rotary cannot be disabled here really. But if you want a good amp, check MMultiBandSaturator. There will also be MRotary, kind of versatile thingy not focused on replicating vintage stuff.

Thanks for the reply. Will MRotary be able to replicate everything Vintage Rotary can do and more?

No. MRotary will be, ehm, different :D, hard to explain, actually it's not finished yet. But it won't be an extended version of MVintageRotary.

Hi Vojtech,

I just bought Vintage Rotary and, apart from sounding really good, it appears to be a tweakers heaven.

However, right now I'm tearing my hair, trying to find where and how to set a MIDI toggle for the FAST/SLOW speed! Searching for 'slow' or 'fast' in the documentation didn't come up with anything useful, I'm afraid.

I had assumed that the FAST/SLOW speed legends below the cabs would offer a simple, right-click contextual menu for MIDI learn, but no. :-(

From GSI VB3, I'm used to assigning the #64 on/off pedal as a toggle - hit it once, go to FAST, hit it again, go to SLOW.

So, please, tell me in simple terms how to set up this most basic requirement.

I also sent a support request on your website with the same question, so, whichever is more convenient for you.

Kind regards,

Joachim

EDIT: Please disregard - Vojtech responed faster that light! :-D

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Hi Joachim,

ok, so the same answer :D :

first you need to route MIDI to the plugin, that depends on your host. Then MVintageRotary automatically maps modulation wheel and sustain pedal. If you want some other controller, you need to assign it using MIDI controllers. There's a video tutorial, a little outdated, but it's still similar:

Thank you, Vojtech!

I finally managed to set it up properly in Live 9.

Do you think it would be possible in an update to include an option to make SLOW/FAST work as a toggle? It would make switching so much easier, not only with the sustain pedal (#64) but also from a keyboard with a Roland style, spring-loaded joystick!

Best,

Joachim

Hi Joachim,

well, it won't happen in the forthcoming update as that one is being compiled right now :). But I'll add it to to-do list.
