It doesn't matter that it hasn't got a 'dedicated' band-pass filter since one is made out the existing LP and Hp filters. It works a treat.Ingonator wrote: Of course I did know about those polysynths but my examples were about monosynths (non-modular to be precise)...
The Crumar Spirit would fit perfectly so that one is OK.
The Korg 700 has a HPF + LPF combination (called "Traveller") but no dedicated multimode filter

You don't emulate it, you really have it, right there: LPF+HPF = BPF.While the Korg MS-20 has a resonant HPF and resonant LPF in series it does not include a dedicated Bandpass filter (i know that you could "emulate" it with using both the HPF and LPF...).
The Korg implementation with separate LP+HP cutoff points is much better than the 'dedicated' BPF with a single band-pass cut-off as it allows for a wider range of band-pass filter timbres.
I've always loved BP filters (especially those Korg ones). It's easy to get some cool formant-like sounds. This works even better with some overdrive. To make a long story short i finally found fun in using both BPF and HPF for monophonic sounds, especially Lead sounds. The ability to do those with a real analog synth is even more fun IMO...
