Yep. Really wishing I had invested my money into a Blofeld instead of the software equivalents. I'm looking forward to picking one up in the not so distant future...from what I've read it is quite reliable these days.

I'd love to use my Waldorf plugins live....but I don't trust them not to crash and burn! Well, besides the Waldorf edition stuff which has been pretty stable for me.

That remains to be seen. Usually they do listen to their customers, to a certain extent.

I go nuts if they don't add a linear envelope to attack parameters.
(Also i don't really believe they will add a linear attack to the modulation amount in the modulation matrix)

Don't think that'll happen, though (but don't take this for granted). There are more important bugs to be fixed.

IMVHO, linear envelopes suck donkey balls.

Yeah? But for pads (not drenched in reverbs) the linear attack is essential. In Largo it's impossible to make a nicely incremented pad. Try yourself.

Hm, but the envelopes in Largo do seem to have linear attack and exponential decay/release, if you'll look at the graphs...

Largo update is planned for end of this year.

Anyway there are at least two points which will not make this an easy task:

1.) Wolfram Franke, one of the main developers of Largo and PPG Wave 3.V has left

2.) Transfer of a 32-bit plugin to 64-bit is not as easy as clicking on "make 64-bit", especially for Mac versions. For other developers this caused a complete rewrite of the plugin (or at least the graphics engine).

This is what I have been told for a long time now (not months, years)....but I m really happy Largo is still on the table and I hope the success of the Pulse2 will contribute.

Dont feel assaulted, the frustration just comes from the fact that this is a marvelous synthesizer I d want to use as long as possible, but the many hindrances made it quite impossible.

Edit: the graphic area always seemed problematic to the company

nah, that's just an abstract depiction. All the envelopes are exponential, which is totally fine for the decay and release. For the attack too, say for pluck, bass, lead sounds. But not for pads. Only just because of this I have to search for another synth that gives me this (probably Blue 2 and LinPlug Spectral, which haven't been released yet)

As for slow GUI...this thing was fixed when i bought a new laptop.

Agreed. We *love* largo and can't hardly wait to see the thing working stably on modern systems! Largo could be my favourite instrument, if performance issues were remedied.

Easily one of the best soft synths around. It'd be very cool if they could get a few of the glitches knocked out.

I don't think Waldorf will respond very well to a 'petition' as such.
