What is the best way to set up the mvocoder in ableton live for the most intelligible vocal effect?

It's pretty simple - create a track using some synth, I'd suggect something rich, sawtooth bass for example. Insert MVocoder to it. Then create another track, place some vocals onto it and send it to the MVocoder's side-chain input. Then just browse some presets ;).

How can I send it to that specific MVocoder's side-chain input? I don't quite understand that part. Anyone can help? Been trying for an hour and never been able to make it work

Got it!! Wow after more than hour of clicks and tries...

In Live under the Output Type box (that you selected the track WITH the Mvocoder) there's a tiny dialog box called output channel where by default it's written 'Track In', go in there and click to select down 'SideChain L-MVocoder'... There you go! Very easy to miss... But it works. Hope this will make save clicks and frustration to some other users 8)

Incredibly good tutorial...

I wonder how many people had no real clue about the power of this plugin. I must admit: I hadn't.

Another prove for the old theory: "Docs sell." Because docs - if being recognized - lead to remarkably better results and will eventually convince a user much more than anything else (like marketing, discounts, endorsers, GUIs, reviews, etc.).

/ok, enough wise guying. Off to play with the new knowledge. :)

well done,thank you!
