I've been working on a skin for ACE. I wanted something good for late nights and dark DAW themes.

As a result, ACE Night Shift was created:

If you like it, grab it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/s1ciuwurug8vw ... t_Skin.zip

Install instructions are inside, I know it works on PC, but I'm not sure about Mac.

Looks good.

Very sexy!
Makes me want to have ACE. ^^

I like this skin! It would be nice to see a Red version too for a sort of dark vampire style theme.

Good work!

Need some help getting this installed on my Mac. The instructions say to find the "ACE.data" folder but i can't for the life of me figure out where it's supposed to be... :(

Anyone with a mac able to give me some help?

Post

Nice skin. Thank you!

Regarding the installation process. A better way to install, at least on Windows and I would assume Mac, is to copy the 'data' directory from the zip file to ACE.Data\Support\Themes\ and then rename it to 'Night Shift'. That way 'Night Shift' will show up in the list of skin choices, and you don't mess with the default.

Thanks for the feedback!

This should be the folder you need: MacHD/Library/App Supp/u-he folder

I was originally thinking of doing a red version and a green version as well, so I can make that happen.

Thanks for the tip, winds. I'll update the read-me.

Thanks for the help! I got it installed now and it looks great! Works really well with the Ableton skin I'm using. 8)

Looks pretty nice. Think I'd prefer if the cables remained colored though instead of grey.

For anyone wanting to change cable colors, here is how you do it:

The cable colors are determined by the ACE.txt file. This file is located under "scripts" in the original data folder or in any theme folder.

If you open the ACE.txt file in a text editor, you can easily change certain values. Under the "Colours" section near the start, you will see COLOUR name='WireC1' rgba='ff8800ff', where the value in green is a color represented in hex values ff-99. Two digits each for red, green, blue, and alpha.

The following tool can help find hex values for a specific color: http://www.color-hex.com/color-wheel/

*To restore the original colors, replace the first six COLOUR variable values with these:
COLOUR name='WireC1' rgba='ff8800ff'

COLOUR name='WireC2' rgba='8080ffff'

COLOUR name='WireC3' rgba='ff0000ff'

COLOUR name='WireC4' rgba='ffff00ff'

COLOUR name='WireC5' rgba='60ff60ff'

COLOUR name='WireC6' rgba='e2e0e3ff'
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the heads up. Obviously I'm not a coder and don't really look into these things, but appreciate the help here. It is a nice skin. :)
