Already paid for it once with Studio One but I'll gladly do it again to have it Sonar.Rajah wrote:Is that Melodyne ARA... Well Well... Nice..clintmartin wrote:http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SonarX3PupX2P

Hell, I thought that one had itLawrenceF wrote:Uh oh. I smell another VST 3 debate coming now that Sonar is VST3. I wonder who's next? Samp maybe?
Yeah, ARA is the only feature that I miss after selling Studio One, so I'm glad to see it in Sonar. Oh, and for the record, Cakewalk did confirm that X3 does indeed have ARA - I asked because it wasn't stated explicitly in the SW ad.LawrenceF wrote:I'm curious to see, assuming that's Melodyne ARA, if they also adopt the media format that PreSonus uses with it, which is open and (afaik) free to use. The format that keeps the midi and audio together in the same media clip when you use Melodyne.
If they do it should be much the same as it is in S1. I also think (going from memory) that the embedding of the Melodyne UI like that is also a VST3 extension they wrote, not actually part of ARA, but published as a separate open VST 3 extension.
Well... at least they're not the only one anymore.
