Already paid for it once with Studio One but I'll gladly do it again to have it Sonar.

I like the tape sim in the pro channel. Addictive drums, Nomad factory blue tubes and reverb. The flyout for the quad curve eq, vst3, melodyne....tons of stuff!

I'm happy for cake users.

There's nothing in there I don't already have. If it still has all the bugs they refused to fix in X2(plus the new ones they will add to X3)it will be an unstable mess.

It works fine here.

I'm happy for me, too.

Unfortunately that doesn't mean it works fine for everyone.

Isnt that just new plug ins???

Nothing that should make a x2 user a x3 user it seems, just low cost limited plugins (sonar only).

Uh oh. I smell another VST 3 debate coming now that Sonar is VST3. I wonder who's next? Samp maybe?

Hell, I thought that one had it

Live needs it (even though I have only a handful of vst3 plugs)

I'm curious to see, assuming that's Melodyne ARA, if they also adopt the media format that PreSonus uses with it, which is open and (afaik) free to use. The format that keeps the midi and audio together in the same media clip when you use Melodyne.

If they do it should be much the same as it is in S1. I also think (going from memory) that the embedding of the Melodyne UI like that is also a VST3 extension they wrote, not actually part of ARA, but published as a separate open VST 3 extension.

Well... at least they're not the only one anymore. :)

Yeah, ARA is the only feature that I miss after selling Studio One, so I'm glad to see it in Sonar. Oh, and for the record, Cakewalk did confirm that X3 does indeed have ARA - I asked because it wasn't stated explicitly in the SW ad.

Good for Sonar, and of course for Celemony. Their efforts to solve an issue with their product - really annoying real time audio transfers - should be rewarded, and ARA probably helps sell lots of upgrades to Melodyne Editor.

All upside for Sonar and Celemony. Let's all hope ARA doesn't end with Melodyne.

Kinda interesting that they did ARA considering cakewalk is all abandoware :hihi:
