News From The Sky wrote:Urs, any chance you guys will port any of the U-He synths to iOS? Waldorf just released their Nave wavetable synth for iPad and it looks and sounds pretty sweet. Seems like an iPad would be a pretty excellent interface for Zebra, ACE, Bazille (esp for the patch cables), or even Diva - assuming the processor can handle the sound engine of course. Might quench some of the gearlust your custom Diva hardware controller generated... (but maybe you don't want that!)

Seems like an obvious question, but I couldn't find it asked elsewhere.
Please Uhe not spend ur time on unnesesary things!!! I love my iPad and i think it is better then PC but iPad is made for other tasks, but not for high end music production! But seens Uhe is known for making only high end products , Uhe have no work in mobile emviroment because the hardwere is not capable for high end code.

What are the 1.1 changes besides bugfixing? Can the Ouput gain increase to -20/+20 db?

Sascha argues, -/+20 dB is too much for the output - it makes adjustments too coarse. I agree, it's not about symmetry, it's about the best ranges possible for the purpose of a surgically exact mixing/mastering tool. Sound design and extreme settings are secondary to that.

Satin 1.1 contains bugfixes as well as a wider range of tape speeds, improved wow & flutter and further hiss reduction / auto mute.

This is great, so finally a quality emulation of 3.75 IPS speed in a native plugin ?!

Is it to be expected before Christmas ?

URS due to financial needs I am selling my Elektron A4 on ebay.
When Diva 1.3 comes out will I be able to fill the sequencing gap with DIVA?
I have a pretty powerful computer so I could run at least 4 layers of DIVA with the sequencers.
Please remove my fears about letting go of the A4? :help:

Erm... we're going down to 1.875 ips, if you don't mind :)

Should you be one of those early adopters stocking up yourself with chocolate Santas at the end of September, it's probably around Christmas for you ;)

Clemens and I are toying with the idea of releasing a current build as preview/beta *without* sequencer. The idea is to release something while we're still fixing a few issues and gui in the background. The final V1.3 would of course have the seqeuncer put back in.

Unfortunately I have no idea how the sequencer on the A4 works and what it does, so I can't really say...

Or you could release it as 1.3 without the sequencer, and as 1.4 when it's ready ? Or 1.25 then 1.3, I don't know which criterias determine your version nomenclature.
IMO the new osc and filters alone are already a great update/add-on : I'd already be extremely happy to play with the new components !

Seconded. I want to play with the new osc, and a new osc really feels like a 1.3, and then the new sequencer another up, like 1.4 atleast, but 1.5 / 2.0 would be justified as it is a significant feature affecting the whole thing :)

The Concept behind it is pretty simple but powerfull. You can set every parameter of the synth per step, like snapshots.

Yeah... I was toying with that idea but found it to be too complicated to do for any feature monster like our synths :-|

We're currently on the brink of discarting Diva's sequencer alltogether. It has proven to be too complex and it causes controversial discussion. People expect the ease of use and functionality of Zebra's very limited arpeggiator control sequence, yet they want the functionality of our new concept (midi file support etc.).

So, quite honestly, I'm tempted to start over with the sequencer idea and make it something very, very simple. Maybe just a simple 16 step pitch/velocity/gate thing.

CC recording for the sequencer was awesome, Urs. Don't drop it!

What controversial discussion, where?
