Now revision 1900 (fixes wrong version number in Finder)

Post

Ok, updated manual as well. Supposedly fixes a problem with ambiguity about emphasize and EQ

I'm getting insanely good sounds out of it... did I fail the test? ;)

All good? :)

Hey Urs, the mac link seems to still be downloading an older version, have you pulled it again?

I was about to report that 1899 had some weird noise to its default preset.... I can see now that it is fixed.

Urs, how's the AAX porting coming along ?...

somehow i can't automate Satin 1.1 in delay mode in Ableton Live (9.0.6) on mac. Every recorded automation lane grays out when replaying the track.. Any idea what's happening?

What about a tapestop effect and maybe a tapejam you know when the tape is really damaged :D
Frankly, such effects were not our major intention with the plugin. We initially wanted a professional high-quality device capable for mastering and studio multitrack work. We wanted to prove that tape is not basically about distortion and other negative artifacts. The 'good' machines were designed to sound transparent and sometimes superiour to (early) digital recorders. With Satin, we wanted to show why this is the case.
We've now enlarged the model to provide more degrees of freedom with 1.1, but we'd have to watch out for not watering the concept of this plugin.
I'm glad to hear that the intentions is primarily "a professional high-quality device capable for mastering and studio multitrack work", which is what I bought it for.

The few extra features I could think of, after testing Satin on a lot of sources, learning to use it as good as possible, would be to add further flexibility implementing an overall mix knob into the design. And maybe additional tape types. We'll see....

Haven't tried the new beta yet, but thanks for all the good work! :D

I'm completely confused about the mac versions now.

For what it's worth, the first release, from yesterday, seemed to be fine on my mac

The AU did not validate in yesterday's version, and the installer said Satin V1.0.2.

Today, we found that Mac Finder stoll said Version 1.0.2, so we changed that as well.

Then, shortly after I uploaded that, Howard had a change to the manual.

We didn't change code or anything, we just changed version information (which was also the reason for the failing AU validation).

What revision number is displayed on the top right of the editor window?

Can you send us a project to support at u-he dot com?

The installer zip file for mac still reads as Satin 10--the link says Satin11, but the downloaded file is titled Satin 10I don't know what version I'm downloading.

Weird. Maybe a proxy problem...?

Or maybe you downloaded while I uploaded and overwrote the Satin11 file - might be a server hiccup. What if you try again?

Just tried, it still shows as Satin 10. I haven't actually installed it to see what results, but the installer is showing as Satin 10

I have a Satin 11 installer from yesterday, which I think is the one that was pulled?
