It is my opinion that some of these posts are getting a little bit excessive and over-the-top with pictures, YouTube Videos, SoundCloud players, etc. that take up half a page. The deals forum is starting to look exactly like the ads next to forum. Could I ask for a new policy to only have text and a link in the post? Otherwise it is getting out of hand.
I get your point, it's getting a little out of hand, I have myself posted a couple of big pictures, when just the link would do.

Will keep this in mind in the future.

i tried urchasing XLN piano collection but it adds shipping...
Non of it seems to be downloadable... I bought the Ohmicide deal (I couldn't pass it up). Disc has been shipped and on it's way.

I would have picked up Addictive Keys if I didn't own it already (and paid more). Damn good deal.
It will probably not be a disc. It will probably be a dvd case with no dvd just a postcard with a serial number and download instructions.
I finally did receive my DVD case with serial number card inside. I find this so strange that they do this. I can't imagine shipping fees are worth this method.

Anyway, I am happy to finally get Ohmicide back. :)

What a great deal this is.

But note that even though the OP just have 45 posts, he has been lurking the forum for several years, so post count can't be directly correlated with usage of the forum.

Do I get it right that ANY Cakewalk user can get the baseline version of Sonar X3 (which seems rather complete feature-wise and only misses a couple of plugins) for $49/€44? Even e.g. those with just z3ta+ registered?

That is what it looks like to me, but I can't guarantee that that is the right understanding.

If I didn't already have Cakewalk Studio Instrument bundle, I would have gone for upgrading from X2 to X3

Apparently. :)

That's quite a good deal then for a complete DAW. Many users have at least a z3ta+ registered that they got for free some time ago.

Sure, I would have jumped on it if I didn't already have X2 and all the included plugins in the X3 base deal.

For those looking for a top of the line DAW, look no further :)

Again, there is no direct correlation between being an active member and posting useful posts ;)

If it was, that guy wouldn't have had to post that post ;)

It was a damn good post. I couldn't have agreed more...

Simple links work great since many of these deals can be good from a single day to a couple weeks. Having everything obscured by a single post that embeds everything is just not necessary. If it's a great deal, people can just follow the link for more info. Much easier.

And post count, sign up date, amount of activity and all that bla, bla, bla... is just noise. A contribution is a contribution.

+1 for etarr.

Not to sound like the cranky old man that I've become, but it's the Deals thread, not the Advertising thread. Although some seem to feel that it's a thread for them to advertise their products whenever they have what they consider a deal or discount to offer. However, these days, just about everybody offers a deal or discount...

I'm all about supporting KVR vendors, but a little self-restraint would be even more attractive than the lengthy pic and sound posts that some put up.
