Just seen that your albums are on Spotify! :tu:

I will listen to them as soon as I have enough time...

BTW, how much do you get when I listen to them, is Spotify a good way for distributing music? :?:

BONES wrote:Red's not really part of our palette. We've discovered that another EBM band, Modulate, used the atomic bomb image a few years ago so I think it's off the list now. The "bridge" image is actually taken inside an old factory that's been converted into an exhibition space. I think it was the gantry for a crane or something.

I actually find it quite interesting because it's feedback I get fairly regularly. Someone looks at the overall size of the UI and decides that absolutely everything is too small, when the reality is that the individual elements are a good size, to make them as usable as possible, they are just jammed in together. I think it's also got a lot to do with your host. ORION is about the only host I've seen where you have any hope of keeping everything visible at one time. In every other host you accept that things like Instrument/effect UIs will be hidden most of the time, so there is no real reason for them to be space-efficient. OTOH, the smaller the UI, the more of them I can see in one go in ORION, without blocking my view of the mixer or playlist.
Yeah. I thought that might be the case with the red. as for the bridge thing...gantry cranes are something else...when I was working at Eureka foundries that type of crane was used as well...

As far as your UI are concerned I like 'em just the way they are...compact so you can stack them up...good stuff! :) :)

Almost nothing. You need to get something like 50,000 plays to earn $1. Despite that, Spotify still lose money. It's unsustainable for everyone. Even digital makes us nothing, we only get between 10c and 15c per download. We made about $10 from digital sales in the last 6 months and more than $100 in CDs. CDs are still the best way to make money, if that's what you want to do. And if you do it yourself, you get to keep a lot more of it, either digital or on CD. The label takes more from digital sales but even so, around two-thirds of it seems to go to the store (iTunes, amazon, 7digital, etc.).

And I must admit I had a good feeling while paying my 5 euro for the monthly Spotify subscription that I'd support some independent sony-bmg-universal-warner-FREE artists...

However, I couldn't live without Spotify because there are some not so well known artists even of the EBM/Industrial/Dark Ambiente/however-you-call-it scene, and I don't have enough money to buy CDs, unfortunately...

But on the other hand, at Spotify they don't even have the CD's of Rammstein which is one of my favorite bands...:x

BTW, do you make gigs (i. e. live concerts)?

I love Spotify, but its difficult to see how paying $1 for 50,000 plays could possibly be considered legal. I guess the real lesson here is that if you discover a new artist on Spotify and really like their music, go buy a copy.

Man. BONES is back, someone immediately brought up religion, someone has suggested bigger GUIs, and there's been a mention of ORION.

Elaborating this angry face with a big infernal mouth placed in the space where the person is standing would be a great cover, much better than the others! :D

It is why we exist. Everything we do is to help us get live shows. It doesn't work too well, we haven't played since last December, but it's the only part of our music that I actually enjoy.
