One Big Knob

When I consider the maze of complexities beneath the surface in these effects, it amuses me, by just naming one multi-parameter, to have just one big knob on the easy edit screen (talk about vintage), but wish I could have that knob showing nought to eleven.

In English, "talk about vintage" is like saying "now that is really vintage" or in American "You want vintage? I'll give you vintage".
And you have of course heard of Spinal Tap, or does not pop culture enter Melda's mathematical bunker?
