Version 2 is out. I tried running the installer on my Rec 2 (1.9 OS). Installer completed ok, and from what I can tell, necessary objects were copied to Program Files and Unsupported Plugins folder as expected.
I refreshed Plugins and restarted, however, the plugin does not appear in the list of available plugins.
Any suggestions on where to look for issues? System log?
If anyone else has tried the install with this OS, please let me know.
Thanks!

I upgraded today to VA-2. It installed fine on my Windows 8 x64 machine. The VSTi shows up in Sonar X2 just fine for me.
The product page for the VA-2 at the AAS web site has a section called "TAKE IT FURTHER" that claims "With eight Sound Bank Series titles adding up to a thousand presets, Ultra Analog VA-2 looks forward to spark your imagination—whenever you need it." I was excited about this because I had previously purchased a bunch of sound banks for the VA-1. Unfortunately, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to install/import the VA-1 bank files. The user manual describes copying banks over to the "Banks" folder, but the new VA-2 presets in the "Banks" folder seem to be in a different format (.VA2 - Bank file) from the VA-1 exchange format files (.AXF). I also tried to drag & drop the .AXF preset files on to the UI, but nothing significant happens.
Does anybody have any ideas on how to get AAS sound banks like "Plastic Pop" to work with Ultra Analog VA-2?

I just found the solution to my problem in a posting on another KVR forum (this forum, "Muse Research and Development", was probably the wrong place to post my question):tonedef71 wrote:Does anybody have any ideas on how to get AAS sound banks like "Plastic Pop" to work with Ultra Analog VA-2?
Just noticed the eight v1 sound banks were updated on the AAS download page today, for v2 compatibility. Just go to the AAS support download page, enter the sound bank serial number and the download now has the v2 bank, as well. Nice to see this was added.

Heh, that's actually helpful, because I had the same question about sound banks!
However, still stuck trying to get it to work on the Receptor. Tried again last night, and it installs fine, with no errors in the Installer log.
Refresh plugins doesn't throw any errors either. However, it simply isn't in the lsit of available plugins. Weird.

I'm sorry that I could not be of more help to you. Hardware VST/VSTi hosts like "Receptor" intrigue me greatly, but since I do not have a rack set-up, nor do I perform out live, the price tag of the product combined with little need for VST/VSTi plugin portability keep me from investing in that amazing technology.

The reason this didn't work? I am not a smart man.
So, for the longest time I was under the impression that c:\vstplugins\unsupported plugins was the correct install path for unsupported stuff. It's C:\Program Files\VST Plugins\Unsupported Plugins!
Anyway, I installed THERE and it works fantastically well.
Goodbye version 1!
I will post to the "unsupported that work" thread as well.

Hi hopkihc, I'm trying to install this too but my installation keeps failing. How did you manage it?hopkihc wrote:The reason this didn't work? I am not a smart man.

What's your receptor model and operating system version? For me it was as simple as dropping the installer exe in the Drop Installers Here, going to the setup ran, and clicking install 1 file.

Hrm... well, as a Receptor 2 owner who has not upgraded to the new OS, I can't speak directly to your issues. I assume the VIP can run installer executables (setup.exe) files just like the old OS?
