That would be crazy annoyingCh00rD wrote:Great sounds!pdxindy wrote:It certainly does... It opens up a whole new world! Hallelujah!! Crazy idea for unregistered demo nag in Bazille: play some of those short repetitive little organ tunes every couple of minutes, like is often done at sports matches in the US. That should be sufficiently annoying for Bazille's target audience.

Urs,
I'm enjoying Bazille's weird and wonderful palette a lot; the filters especially sound fantastic. However I'm wondering why the filters don't have the typical 12 dB BPF mode but 6 dB which, I've found, often isn't steep enough for the types sounds I'm trying to create and replicate. I've tried running the filters in series for 12 dB but frankly it's a pain to setup and modulate.

“Somebody said to me, ‘But the Beatles were antimaterialistic.’ That’s a huge myth. John and I literally used to sit down and say, ‘Now, let’s write a swimming pool.’ ”

Hi, most bandpass filters labelled "12dB" in fact are 6dB filters. The choice was made because bandpasses are usually considered more quiet than HP or LP filters - they never fully open up.jivamukti wrote:Urs,

If you keep the second filter at its default values and set cutoff control to "Offset" rather than "Cutoff" then the second filter will exactly follow the cutoff of the first filter - then it should be less of a PITA to do a serial configuration

Oh, and one usability issue with the sequencer... you have to click on the actual step bar to drag it... would be friendlier to be able to click somewhere in the step and have the bar jump to it... would make for faster more fluid editing

I think that's coming. Sliders have been improved vastly for Satin, with different bahaviours for clicking handle and outside the handle.pdxindy wrote:Oh, and one usability issue with the sequencer... you have to click on the actual step bar to drag it... would be friendlier to be able to click somewhere in the step and have the bar jump to it... would make for faster more fluid editing

Hey, I know what they are. But after what has been announced, specially for DIVA, I can't wait to get my hands on it. Remember we'll have a new Osc module, capable of Super Saws, and a new filter, modelled after the SEM. It's not what can live without (I lived without DIVA before having it), it's the waiting for what I KNOW will arriveSoundRaider wrote:Don't be unjust.
