Hello!

The opera house I work for uses the receptor for a Musical Theater production. The Problem is: nobody knows anything about it.
I want to install Kontakt 4.1 from the Komplete 7 Version the Theater owns.
Could someone give a quick help?

Kind regards,
martin

First things first: which version is the receptor? This may not be what's on the back label. Preferably you'll be able to connect up a monitor, mouse, and keyboard, start the receptor, and go to the setup menu. (You can use the front panel too... Press the setup button and scroll through settings, but I prefer using the screen)

Do you know the plugorama.com account associated with the receptor?

I installed komplete 7 using the direct install method, which was painfully slow but worked.

Hi!
The System Version is 1.7.20080616.
We don't know the connected account any more. I only need to install Kontakt 4.1 and the Kontakt Factory Library.
What is the direct install method?

It's a way to get the installer files onto the Receptor over a network connection, and then have the installer execute.

Info on install methods here: http://www.plugorama.com/kb.php?id=418

BTW, is this a Receptor 2 or 1? If it's a 2, I would strongly recommend upgrading to the latest OS, which will require a few intermediate OS upgrades.

It might be possible to install Kontakt 4 just by dropping its setup executable file in the "Drop Installers Here" folder, but I have not done this.

Thanks.

It's Receptor Version 1.
Now I got the Network Connection running and installed the remote control.
I tried to register the receptor but the form says that it's been registered in the past.
I tried to get the Direct Install Feature from the remote control running but there is an error massge that i should run the remote in admin mode, but i already did that.
I'm runnin the remote Software on a Windows 7 PC.
Any Ideas?

FWIW, I posted my Receptor adventure here:

Try running the Muse Tools with Windows XP compatibility. That worked for me! (Apparently... as I completely forgot how I ever got this to work :) )
