How do you explain this ?

Buffer : at 64 samples, i have got lots of glitchs and at 4096, i haven't glitch but the CPU stills to increase greatly (but less than with 64 samples).

I have got an i5 3.7 Ghzn, 8 giga of RAM, Windows 7 and one GFORCE 770. The problem occurs at least with two differents sounds cards (one PCI and one USB).

My main card : GIGABYTE GA-Z77M-D3H - Socket 1155 - Chipset Z77 - Micro-ATX

PS : It seems i can't display my gif and jpg.

hmmm... can't make the visible.

It seems like you have a highly polyphonic section that costs a lot of CPU when played back. That unfortunately is often the case with certain presets and settings in Diva. Have you tried using the mutithreading option?

Post

Multithreading option does not agree well with Reaper unfortunately :(

At least not over here - it actually INCREASES the CPU usage :/

Post

Why when the track is not armed, there is a low cpu load and when it is armed, my CPU becomes overloaded ?

I have the same problem with lush-101 but not with MAssive.

Yes and no change ...

Post

Ah, ok, I don't know Reaper, I thought you were turning the track off and on again... my bad

Post

I arm and i disarm the track (for the recording), but it continues to be played.

Post

It seems Diva and lush101 use the same type of modelisation ...

Ok... maybe the guys at Cockos know what's going on. We could run a few tests to see if they use e.g. very small buffers on armed tracks, but that won't help us much.

What preset are you using?

Post

Could you maybe provide a GIF that shows what happens to the CPU load when arming the track, but not with Reaper's performance meter but with the one from Windows' task manager?
Cheers

I use HS childhood poly 6, 1 stack, divine mode.
but that won't help us much.
We can make bugs reports or feature requests inside the cockos's forum.

Processor 0 falls when i disarm the track.

Post

Same thing with lush 101. Processor 0 rises when i arm the track.

Hi Pere,

I'm really poking in the dark here, but I see that you have a reaper_host32.exe running, which is Reaper's bit bridge. Are you maybe using Diva as a bridged plugin, maybe 32-bit Diva in 64-bit Reaper or the other way round? (yes, it's possible)
Cheers

I have some x86 vst inside my project, but my reaper is x64 and Diva is x64 (for sure).

When i active the multi-threaded, other threads seem rise, but the first CPU doesn't fall ...
